I welcome you all to another edition of Creative Sunday, where everyone has the opportunity to showcase their talents in one way or the others, today I will be sharing how I make this garden egg sauce.
I know most of us are familiar with Garden egg sauce but for some people, this is the first time, garden egg sauce is mostly used in eating tubers for example yam, potatoes, cocoyam, and so on.
INGREDIENTS USED
Garden eggs
Pepper
Tomatoes
Crayfish
Vegetable oil
Seasoning
Tomatoes
Onion
This sauce doesn't take much time at all, I started by washing my garden eggs and boiling them for some minutes, you will allow this to boil and become soft in other to remove the back, all we need to do is to allow it cool after boiling before peeling the back.
This is my garden egg
After peeling the backs then mash it with either a spoon or your hand, preferably I love to use my hand, after washing my hands I continue to mash it till I scattered it and set it aside.
In my frying pan I added my vegetable oil and allowed it to fry for some minutes, I added my onions and fried for some minutes before adding my blended pepper, while making this sauce you do not need smoothly blended peppers, you can slice your pepper but I love to use my manual blender in getting what I want.
I allowed my pepper to fry very well before adding the seasoning cubes and salt, I mixed and tasted in others to know maybe I would add more seasoning to it because I used one cube for this sauce, after this process, I added my crayfish and allow it to enjoy the eat before and mix then I added my mashed garden egg into the frying sauce and mix thoroughly by this time I leave it for some minutes to incorporated together before serving.
This is another way of switching from egg sauce, not all the time we pair our yams with eggs, let us try new things and have an alternative, this is nutritious as well and we are in the seasoning of all these things in the country, I hope this video will help if you are trying this for the first time.
Thank you all for taking your precious time to visit my blog, Happy Sunday and I wish you all a stress-free week
