Four: I want to change society
If you could change one thing about society, besides politically, what would you change and why? What would that change mean to you or others now and in the future, how would it affect life and do you think it would be a lasting change?
If many times I have thought about this topic and I have flirted with the idea of transforming the world, perhaps it is something that comes from my affective instinct and that is why my dedication to ecological activities and personal development nurturing feasible resources to generate changes.
My work outside the platform is focused on the educational field where I have taught art classes in very vulnerable areas in my hometown Caracas, Venezuela, in these spaces I have been able to see the reality of a society very difficult to improve but with the possibility of changes some long term others in the short term.
I think one of the formulas that has worked for me is the practice of reflection, putting myself in the place of the other trying to understand their reality, I consider this has been a great achievement especially putting myself in the place of children important to address offering absolute welfare if we want to prolong the species and have a healthier generation.
Children move their reality to school, there I have seen their frustrations due to dysfunctional bonds, violence, abandonment among other scourges with which for my mental health I do not get involved personally or professionally, but I do try to find didactic strategies that offer them peace of mind.
The most important thing, knowing their realities, I try not to touch those topics, knowing their histories, I visualize the activities so that they can express their light in them, promoting their affective and creative potentials.
That is to say I appropriate the sensitive and harmonious that they have, and from there with didactic strategies based on plastic and corporal expression I promote the expression and creation without judgments or stereotypes, undoubtedly when doing it the adverse or dark of their stories comes to the surface but even so there is a change where a minimal new attitude is visible from these strategies that serve as a tool to express, approach and cope with their stories, many end up talking about the things they want to be happier in their lives.
So I think this is a good way to make a change in society. To offer a lot of art everywhere with strategies adapted to different ages where everyone could look at themselves without judgment or discrimination as affective and effective beings with much to contribute to society.
I believe that all the adversities and evils that exist in our society, this lack of affective and effective conscience for the development of humanity has its origin in the repression of true love, and I am not referring to that hedonic love of little hearts and pink tones, I am referring to that present Love that links and integrates that recognizes and contributes to the common welfare with respect to the life of all that exists.
In the measures that we are conscious of our affective and creative expressive potential placing it to the service I believe there could be a great advance for the humanity.
