It great to have a garden with tall pines, shrubs and some leafy fruit tree. In the fall I know where to check for some mushrooms. And usually I was able to find some small brown ones. Probably inedible.

But this year we got these :)

Macrolepiota procera

I do not normally pick them in the wild and the are rumorus that it is very similar to a poisonous one, though from what I saw and read they are quite different.
Either way... I am not sure so I left them there and just enjoyed the view.

The edible ones that can usually be found (at least that's here I could normally see them) at the edges of the forest is tall grasses. Often growing by the side of the roads or paths near woods.

As I am writing this the ones you see on the photos are already gone. But new one popped. And again - they will just stay there looking lovely :)

Big, white hats standing tall among lush grass (that is asking to be trimmed a bit). They are full f the brown spots, something quite characteristic if you compare them to the Amanita some people confuse them with.

But there are few things that can ensure you it i the good one - the little ring around the leg is movable and if you cut them, the leg inside is supposed to be empty. I didn't check it myself. That's what I was told by someone that picks them. I am tempted to check, but then again... they look so nice there that I don't want to touch them :)

They must be tasty though...

That's how people normally eat them here. Covered with egg, breadcrumbs and then pan fried.

The kitty was a must. He kept following me. :)

Super!
I don’t understand mushrooms, they are even very difficult and doubtful to find :-)

It's nice to see Fungi that grow fresh among other plants, unlike the case with dry soil conditions, fungi are very difficult to live in for a long time.

Such a beautiful picture, sir, so natural and makes the eyes amazed, and thanks for the bonus, she is so cute and cute, maybe it is the guardian of the mushrooms😅

Thank you!
He is the guardian of everything around :D

Yes, a formidable guard

I love the shaggy parasol mushroom because it is so beautiful. Every time I see it, I can’t help but admire its uniqueness. It is also a delicious mushroom that can be used in many different recipes. I highly recommend trying it if you’re looking for a new and exciting mushroom to try.

How would you normally eat it?

very beautiful mushrooms, this is the first time I see,

Thank you! Maybe they don't grow in your area...

Yes, our area is very different from mushrooms that grow in other areas

Beautiful photos of these mushrooms @ewkaw friend... I was particularly impressed by this one:

Thank you!
The kitty is great and very fluffy. But would not let me pet him...

Delicious! I will have one just today. This year is crazy with mushrooms in the forest. Hmmm maybe I should go into the forest with my camera ;)

You definitely should :D
And yea.. the woods are full of mushrooms. Edible and the not edible ones too. I don't remember when I saw so many last time. It's pretty awesome :)

MEOWTH! @fraenk has sent a tip of 10 CAT your way.

The gills don't look too green to me so its probably not the vomiter.

No, they were all white. I am still not gonna pik them :p

It's very cool, when you look closely it's like a caterpillar attached.

Thanks :D

What a gorgeous species! I enjoyed your photos.

I am glad :)

I so wished I knew more about mushrooms and were confident enough to go foraging but I am not. I used to be while growing up in Germany. The family would go on long walks through the woods and come back with Sunday's lunch. That was great! But now here in the US - I just don't trust myself.

Beautiful pictures as always!
