I was really upset that our rest days were not the same as previously, but we still managed to visit one other. It was Thursday, and I was going to go to a party, but I realized it was too far away, and I would be too exhausted to travel back home, so I decided to meet these two for a coffee date instead.
Therefore, because I and Kaye finished our job at the same time, we waited for Yor to finish his training. Kaye lives in Liloan and needed to travel 30-45 minutes to Ayala, so I went to the sleeping lounge to unwind while I waited. Once Yor finished his training and Kaye finally showed down there, we went downstairs to meet her. We all crossed the street together and headed toward Ayala Mall. As there is a new coffee shop that some of my coworkers suggested, I advised getting a coffee.
Yet, the idea of having coffee was turned into an early dinner. They ask me to eat dinner at this cafe where we used to grab a coffee and delicious spring rolls while we were on our way upstairs. This location was Brique, as I recall. This is not just our favorite spot, but it is also a favorite of some of my coworkers. I'm pleased it wasn't completely packed when we made our way to the fourth floor. As I recall, it was humid outside, so I'm happy that there are some empty tables inside. We choose a different table since it makes us sad to see that the old seat where we used to sit is actually taken.
Since my last visit to this restaurant was months ago, it appears that their menu has changed. So we took our time looking over the menu. Yor selects Regular Fat Boise Chops for 365 PHP or $6.72 USD. While Kaye selects Fried Chicken with Sausage Gravy for 310 PHP or $5.71 USD. I select Emperor's Chicken for 295 PHP or $5.43 USD. We also ordered our favorite Spring rolls for sharing and for dessert I and Yor both ordered Tres Leches Queso and with free coffee. As Yor and I are no longer on the same LOB, we took advantage of the 15 to 25 minutes waiting time for the food to be served to talk about everything pertaining to work. We also began preparing and planning for Kaye's upcoming birthday, including the location of the celebration.
They served our food after a few minutes, and we thoroughly appreciated it. We discussed visiting a new location the following time we ate. And when we finish our meal, we still have the energy to get something to drink. So we decided to go and headed downstairs and I will share where we went after our dinner at Brique.
