Since the pandemic, all of my previous employer's year-end parties had been postponed, so with my current job, I was extremely thrilled and looking forward to this day to see how many years it had been since we had our year-end parties.
During our training, we were already aware that our party would be hosted at NuStar, but the details were not yet explicit. I was quite delighted when they announced the final theme and dates for our year-end party. I had previously made preparations with friends for the outfit and makeup look I wanted. I asked my friend @cheerupwithjl to do my hair and makeup; I always trust him because he knows my features and he knows I want to keep it simple.
I was quite excited, and I was the one who encouraged all of my teammates to come to the a party. However, when the party approached, my desire to attend was not extremely strong. If you've been reading my blog, you'll know that I had to cope with both my health and the scam I had experienced. But that day, my partner and friends encouraged me to go and enjoy and grasp the moment because it was almost Christmas and I needed to return to the province. I booked a different hotel and asked JL to meet us there; he was delighted to do our makeup because it was also a good time to bond. We were also fortunate that the hotel allowed us to check in early because I realize how time-consuming makeup can be. JL quickly prepared the table and laid out all of the makeup products he needed for the day. We didn't get to film the entire thing, but we did take a lot of photos at the time.
The Venue
We arrived at the venue at 7:00 p.m., just in time for the beginning of the program. The space was enormous, and you could certainly wander around without being spotted by the crowd. I adore my dress, although I wish it was a little shorter, but I was able to walk in it. When we arrived, we walked down to our table and greeted the other people around our table. We sat for a few minutes before deciding to get some food, which provided another opportunity to say hello to the people surrounding us and meet up with an old friend.
We enjoyed the dining experience, which was very wonderful, and the desserts were also really delightful. To be honest, they did not disappoint us with the food that they served, and I always love Lechon, so they made sure it was there. We made sure to take some pictures, say hello to everybody, and say goodbye before we left, but unfortunately we couldn't stay much longer and had to work the next day. Although I did not win anything in the raffle, the program went really well, and we enjoyed the performances. We were sad to have to end the fun early, but we had to leave for work. Overall, it was an amazing party.
