On so many occasions, egg soup has been my rescuer. This is one of the meals that is budget-friendly as well as easy to prepare. I happened to know how to prepare this meal through my mom. Most times during holidays, when she's tired she will just prepare the meal for us to eat, after which she will prepare the main meal for the family. It is faster and more instantaneous.

Egg soup is the last budget-friendly meal one could ever think of. However, some people who have never experimented with it may not have an idea of how delicious and palatable egg soup is. So I am going to put you through on how to prepare egg soup. But before then, egg soup was prevalent among the students because it was budget-friendly. With less than $2, you will eat and be satisfied and also have some leftovers to eat some other times.

How to prepare egg soup

The ingredients needed to prepare egg soup are raw eggs, palm oil, onions, salt, pepper, seasoning cubes, crayfish, fish(optional), and thickener. With this ingredient, you are good to go.

First of all, the number of eggs used is determined by the quantity of meal you want to prepare. Therefore, break your raw or fresh eggs into the plate and stare till everything is mixed, add salt to it as well as your pepper(fresh pepper) preferable. Put your pot on the fire, pour in your palm oil, and allow the oil to heat and when it's hot, first of all, put the sliced onion in it before pouring in the mixed egg solution. Ensure that you add water to it and keep on turning to avoid the egg from gumming together. Cover the pot to boil, then put in your crayfish, fish, seasoning cube, pepper, and salt. Allow it to boil for some minutes, then add your thickener, then bring your pot down, and your food is ready. In less than 15 minutes your egg soup is ready for consumption. You can consume it with garri, fufu, or wheat.

You don't need to break the bank to have a good meal, with egg soup, you can eat to your satisfaction. This soup has been my lifesaver right from when I was in school as a student till now, egg soup is among my favorites.
