The #zingtober challenge is in nice words very challenging if you know what I mean... Lol. I was up early this morning looking for perfect specimens for today's subject; Boots. As the subject suggests, all my intention was to go for something plural but all the good shots I found appealing were of one boot. This was a conundrum.

There were two boots in particular that caught my attention and one of them was a weather boot (pardon my grammar, I don't know the name). It's one of those boots you wear when it's cold and it was that I went for. I spent time layering the body of the boat with the hatching, Cross hatching and scribble techniques. I did this very thinly over and over again so I can arrive at a realistic result. I must confess that this simple piece took me quite some time. Not because it was technical, I only wanted to make ot perfect.

Currently I stay close to body of waters and it rains almost everyday here. And if it doesn't, you are sure to notice. As a result, the weather is always cool. It is in that reasoning that I drew Zappit. I felt he was cold and needed some warmth so he hid in a boot. That single attitude is common amongst young animals. I think even that I got this idea unconsciously from one photo shoot I saw years ago. In it there was a cat peeping through a boot with a wide eyed cute face. I think my brother Timothy drew that. If perchance I remembered earlier, I might have gone for that boot. But between you and me, seeing how well this one turned out, I'm glad I didn't.
