I don't know what it is, but this morning I woke up at 5am. Since I have the window open all night to keep the room nice and cool (and luckily there are no mosquitoes yet!), I heard the birds singing early. A finch was loudly squabbling with a crow, while a tomcat, overheated with love hormones, serenaded at one of the ground floor balconies.
It was a funny situation, but then I went back to sleep for a while. I was renting a big old house in my dream, where lots and lots of people used to stay. They even used my limited wi-fi and ate my food, which they found in the fridge. Outside, in front of the front door, a large rooster was perched on the railing, flying surprisingly skilfully. It belonged to a neighbor, but I liked it because it was a gentle bird.
The uninvited guests were increasing in number, and it was impossible to rest or do anything. After a while, I got over it and wanted some peace and quiet, and most of all I was trying to get my privacy back. I quickly pushed them out, but I had the idea that they should not be forcibly ejected, just nicely, politely, but very firmly. And, with difficulty, but I did it!
What does my dream symbolise? I feel that these unpleasant people represent thoughts, habits and beliefs that I no longer need. They just took my energy. But I cannot wean myself off anything by force, by withdrawal. Chocolate should not be associated with guilt.
The rooster is the bird of a new dawn and don't necessarily have to cockcrow to wake me up.
I finally finished the painting I started yesterday! Now I'm very happy with it and I hope it's as surreal as my dream!
See the process as I went layer-by-layer.
First I drew these mushrooms on a piece of fabric:
I also found a canvas with a purple-yellow background.
Well, it would be OK, but...
woud be much better to paint a bigger light spot:
Wow, that will be OK!
But what if I give it more life:
Now it's time to glue the cut-out mushrooms!
I began with the green grass:
The mushrooms have a mysterious dark red color, with dark brown and black stems:
This is the final result with fairy orbs. I really love it!
