Hey guys. As you might have noticed, this alt account for my main @fantagira account has been taken over by my rather regular #Actifit reports. It kinda happened without me trying to make this happen.
The sole purpose of this alt however was to stake my precious #Leo tokens and use this account to curate Leofinance posts as well keeping all the financial topics in one place to separate them from my usual flowers/mushrooms/travels/reflections post on my main account. You can’t take flowers out of a GaiaLover though, so the flowers always dominate all my content no matter what.
Typical expectations vs reality scenario that we laughed about when we saw those comparisons shared on web2 back in a day.
While I love talking about the numbers, crypto and NFTs and many of my posts on previous platform were dedicated to such topics, these days being back in full time employment leaves little to no time to write such posts, as they require a lot of research, screenshots and data collection.
For a while now I wanted to write more about financial topics though and participaing in #leofinance Zealy campaign brought the perfect topic about without me trying to stretch my brain too much!
Yesterday I spent most of the day sleeping and writing, hence no need to write about my almost non-existing steps and it’s time to talk Zealy!
Since I joined hive I believe there were a few Zealy campaings that some of my friends participated in and wrote about, but for one or another reason I never joined and this time round is my first time to try it out.
I was a little late to the party, as I joined a few days after it started and missed out on a few daily and timed quests. Once I got in and completed a few first questions, it took a few more days of pause before I could complete the invite a fren quest.
That’s the downside of starting late! Most people who wanted to join already joined and it was tricky to find new people to join. I sat somewhere in top 200 when I finally managed to get my hands on the daily quest.
It took a few days of daily grinding and listening to late night spaces on X before I made my way into top 150.
Why TOP 150?
The prize pool will be shared between the top 30% of all participants. Currently we have somewhere above 500 people on the active leaderboard, so the top 150 will share the prize pool.
From my understanding the prize pool was meant to be $5000, but was reduced to $1500 according to this post by @leogrowth
Oh well, let’s call this one a practice run for me. I wanted to try out the process, see what the quests are like, see how the app works and decide if that’s something I’d like to do again in the future.
As for the quests… the daily ones are pretty straight forward. #threading and replying to other people #threads is something I got in a habit of doing a few months ago, so that’s easy peasy 😉
Some other quests were rather tricky, while there were some that also made me chuckle. One was asking me to follow my buddy, @tengolotodo for example.
The Zealy interface itself is rather easy to navigate. Finding my invite link took me a little extra effort, but I got there too. That’s where it is, in case you’re wondering:
After a few more days of hustling my position on the leaderboard stabilised around 117 and stayed there for quite a while.
A guess the news of reduced prize pool discouraged many from participating in further tasks, cause after completing a few of many new quests added last weekend, I suddenly find myself in top 100.
As I read the most recent update, apart from sharing the reduce prize pool, all participants with 2k plus XP point will also share a delegation of 100k Leo Power. I guess a few more hustles are ahead of me before the campaign ends tomorrow!
Is it worth to join the campaign for the last day? Well… if you’re really good at inviting new people then yes! Some of the newly added quests are all about bringing in new blood to hive and once could still score nice amount of XP by doing so.
