It was heading toward nightfall, and I had not gotten out to walk as I usually do. On this day here in the mountains I was loving just sitting in front of the fireplace reading my latest book.
It was a cold gray day. But I pushed through my laziness, dressed in layers and went out for an evening walk.
There was total silence as I stepped onto my porch and looked around.
It was so lovely, as the silent snowflakes drifted around me, I suddenly was alive with pleasure and in total peace. I marveled as I walked my farmland, taking in the beauty of the bare landscape, thinking of its lushness just a few months ago. I smiled at the thought of what the spring will bring knowing for now that was a long way away.
My camera caught my feelings, as I dreamt of a faraway world.
