Procrastination, also known as the killer of time, is a nemesis I have been battling right since I was in school because of how jampacked my schedule has always been. Back in school, I was the class representative of my department, the choirmaster in my church, and the school's quartermaster, the Nigeria Red Cross. Due to this position I held, I had to procrastinate a lot of things, but after I was done with school, I felt things would get better, which they did but there are times when I still procrastinate.

Procrastination often creeps in when we feel overwhelmed by the tasks ahead of us or when we lack motivation. It's easy to fall into the trap of procrastination by convincing ourselves that we work better under pressure or that we'll have more time later to complete the task. However, this usually leads to unnecessary stress and lower-quality work in the end. Mind you, I already discovered I don't do well under pressure.
The Last time I procrastinated
The last time I procrastinated was just a few days ago, which was on Saturday. I started an online course, which has been going well; normally I do my studies around 2 pm in the afternoon. When it was 10 am, I knew the time for my studies was getting nearer so I tried to wash all my clothes with the machine before 12 pm. I did make food and by 1 pm I was done with everything.
1:30 pm I was still on my phone surfing the internet and within me, I knew the time for my studies was getting nearer. I normally study from 2 pm to 4 pm, then I have the rest of the day to myself so I said to myself, "Why not move your studies to 3 pm since you have the rest of the day to yourself?"
I thought that was a brilliant idea but it was the devil talking. I was seeing a movie on my phone called "Sex Life," and in the blink of an eye, it was 4 pm already. Normally I should get up to start my studies but then I made up my mind to have my class on Sunday, which I have never done before.
Today is Tuesday and I just remember what I did after seeing the #smp-w4 scifi prompt topic. Damn it, I procrastinated until I forgot. Well, we have another Saturday and this is a promise to myself not to procrastinate again.
Thanks for reading.
