I love smart phone but auto correct almost ruin my life.

We all love smartphones because they make chatting and work easy for us. There are times your phone helps you make a lot of corrections, like spelling, grammar, and punctuation marks, like mine is doing currently, but there are times our smartphones do more than what they are meant to do.

The fact is, English is not my first language, which means I know what I want to send to Nhaji, but my phone will just change the spelling or the way the message is meant to be, and since I am fast at typing and I know what I want to send, I will just click on the enter button without checking what kind of message I have sent.
There are many times this has happened to me, but these two stories I will share are the ones that almost ruined me.

The First.

There was a time I had an issue with my girlfriend; she refused to talk to me for some reason, which I did not know at first, but after much pleading and acting like the good boyfriend I was, we were texting each other when she said she didn't like how friendly I was with a female friend.

"She's doing like you are the only male friend she has. Why will she call you to follow her to the pharmacy at 9 pm?

That was the genesis of the issue. Actually, she trusted me, and she couldn't go alone, was my response. After much complaining from her, I texted.

"I wish you were her."
"It would have been so easy to explain."

Meanwhile, I wanted to type, "I wish you were here; it would have been so easy to explain."

Damn it. Auto-correct, or my fast typing and failure to crosscheck what I wrote? I realized I made a mistake when she said, "What do you mean? If that's it, go and meet her.

Then, a series of unexpected messages appeared. I explained and explained, but there was no evidence because she had already screenshot it. Anyway, we sorted it out, and we are good now.

The Second

This wasn't even a typo or auto-correct error; this was far worse. This is what really happened. We were having our online report using Google Meet; my boss was saying some things like, "I did not reach out to him; my work wasn't complete; I'm slow in this and that."

I was pretty angry because not everything he said was true, and he was trying to move the blame on me only. I ran to WhatsApp to tell my colleague what really happened. Now, on WhatsApp, we have the company's official WhatsApp group and my friend's group. The two groups bear the same name, with "Friends" as the only difference. The friends that were at the ending side weren't showing well, so I just entered the first group I saw thinking it was our private group, and started calling the boss a liar. I wrote a long paragraph of every wrong thing he did and then sent it.

It was after I sent it that I realized I sent it to the official company group. In 2 seconds, I deleted it hoping no one saw it because they were still all on the meeting. I was glad no one saw it, so I sent a flier so they would think I sent the wrong flier.

We are humans, and we are bound to make errors even if we have the smartest phone. My phone is not smart at all; it should have stopped me on that day.

No, sir, you will explain tire. "I wish you were her?" Lmao.
But what if you had deleted for everyone your book of lamentation instead?

I just thank God I deleted for everyone
Imagine I had deleted for myself only

That's what I actually meant. Lol

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

This is me laughing at you in Japanese.

Well truth be told, this happens to me a lot. Sometimes, I wish the damn phones won't autocorrect what I wrote, especially if it is in pidgin English or a native tongue.

So, what I do now is to proof read whatever I want to send or better still, I'll just send a voice note

Don't laugh at me na. aha

Voice note is better o, because many people misunderstand text message.

My laugh is a friendly laugh na bro, be calming down 😁

“I wish you were her”
😂😂😂😂 that made me laugh so hard.
I’m so sorry about that. Looks like nothing can put you two asunder, not even technology. Save my aseobi please 🤭

🤣🤣🤣
I’ll do that
That day, I explain explain tire
It felt like I was referring to the other lady
I beg beg beg
Until she accept it was a mistake

I just said let me screw down to the comment section, and boomm!!! You're here...

MTN.

Aseobi na purple and pitch

I feel you, auto correct really does a lot, sometimes good and sometimes not.
