Hello, Hive ASEAN...
Because my city is really far and monotonous to find interesting attraction spots, I finally occasionally go to Semarang to spend my weekend. Like not long ago, I spent my weekend in Semarang with my friend. Of course, this is a rare moment, usually my friend is more often living in Jakarta, so while he was returning to his home in Pekalongan, I invited him to go to Semarang. Fortunately, he was very excited about our current trip.
The unexpected thing that we both found when we went to Semarang was that we met a local donut shop that was very delicious. Even though my friend is not a sweet tooth, unlike me who has a huge sweet tooth, he happily went into the donut shop, which was located only 50 metres from our accommodation.
At first, it was my friend who knew this donut shop the best. He told me that it was owned by the son of a distant acquaintance. And currently there are not many branches open. I just found out that there are branches in Semarang, Yogyakarta (very recently opened), and the very latest one is the Cirebon branch. Because we left the inn too early, we ended up just wandering around the neighbourhood, which is also new to me. I usually don't go to this area when I go to Semarang. But, its okey, to explore a new area.
Around nine o'clock, the shop was open and ready to receive customers. The fragrant aroma of the freshly lifted donut from the frying pan clashing with the toppings really made my mouth water. Since both of us hadn't had breakfast yet, donuts became our breakfast menu today.
CHOCOLATE MINI DONUTS
My friend suggested that we buy mini donuts with chocolate toppings to eat together, then each of us would later buy a regular size donut to take home. I agreed with my friend's idea, after all, we didn't fit much for breakfast. LOL.
One serving of these mini doughnuts contains twelve. They were so soft, it was like no effort to digest THOSE DONUTS.
We only ate six donuts each and mineral water was enough to fill us up. Today our schedule was quite busy, such as going to the museum, going to certain eating places that have been on the list, also not forgetting to visit the old town of Sewmarang which is very iconic. Of course it was all a request from my friend who had never been to the old town.
Do you know what's so amazing about KALIS DONUTS? The price is very affordable and the taste is worthy of being a favourite. Just imagine, regular sized soft doughnuts with various toppings are priced at 10,000 rupiahs/pcs each. So I'm not surprised that KALIS DONUTS has its own place in the hearts of its customers.
The topping variants available at KALIS DONUTS include: Tiramisu Regal, Kopi Susu, Dark Choco, Cinnmon Sugar, Matcha Oreo, Tiramisu Cheese, Avocado, Chocomaltine, Strawberry, Original, Srikaya, Alpenliebe, and many other variants.
By ten o'clock, we finally decided to go back to the inn and get ready to head to our next destination.
