Update: Over 100 dead and 120 missing people as last reported on the news.

Waters from Pardinho(the 3 Km away creek that flooded my house) already went to Rio Pardo(the southern town shown in James Bond and Moonraker, which is also the name of the river) spreading destruction, then to Jacuí(the longest river in our state), and then to Guaíba Lake, flooding the metropolitan area of Porto Alegre, the state capital which is right now completely flooded. Forecast is for the water to cross all Patos Lagoon towards the city of Pelotas and Rio Grande port, spreading further destruction there. Waters are already rising in Pelotas city.

I'm slowly rebuilding the first floor of my house as I lost all furniture. I am very grateful to all volunteers who came to help us clean my home and also the donated 2nd hand sofa. Unfortunately my late Grandmother sewing machine had all wooden parts destroyed by the water. I wish I could restore it to its former look, but this is not a priority right now.
