This time I am probably not gonna write a positive post. In the past I wrote a few posts(1, 2) talking about my purchases. In addition to cards I have brought 27000+ SPS. So in total I have spent hundreds of eur on splinterlands assets. Those hundreds may not be much for whales but for me it is a lot of money. So I am committed to both Hive and Splinterlands and believe that their future will be bright. But with that being said I will have to think really hard about if I want to spend more money on splinterlands assets. Why? Because I really dislike some changes that are being considered for the game. First of all the lowest rental prices increased to 1 DEC. Another change that may happen is removal of daily rent and changing it to seasonal rent. Personally I see this as an attempt to fix what is not broken. I already dislike things like wild pass and soulbound cards. But till now I mostly kept it to myself. But those negative ideas just keep on getting worse and worse. Like I said I am far from rich so I bought many earth and death cards and rented life and water cards. I am am renting cards for about 20-25 days. So why am I complaining about potential seasonal rentals? Because now I have a choice to rent for as long as I want. The idea of seasonal rent would remove my ability to choose. Also with wild season pass, minimum rent at 1 DEC and now seasonal rent idea playing Splinterlands is becoming more and more expensive. It seems that the game is becoming less play2earn and more pay2play...And I hate that. I was considering renting golden cards for tournaments but there is no way I could afford golden cards for full seasons. Renting even normal cards is already gonna make my wallet sad. I don't see how renting cards for a few days/ tournament is bad. I believe that if we want to attract new players and keep current players the game has to be not only fun but also affordable. But instead playing the game costs more and more and rewards for playing are diminishing...Like I said I am committed to Hive and Splinterlands so I can't imagine myself giving up but at the same time those changes are sucking my joy of playing game. And I only want hot girls sucking me. I would prefer to write something more positive/ encouraging but things seem depressing at the moment.
