What Are Community Pages?
Leo Finance is a social community of Crypto & Finance enthusiasts. All Users interact with each other via LeoFinance.io frontend which is a decentralized social media application built on top of Hive Blockchain. Cryptocurrency and Finance are broad topics. There are different sub-communities related to a particular topic or interest within or around those two main niches.
Community Pages on LeoFiance UI offer dedicated pages that aggregate high-quality content related to your favorite topics or interests. They collect content from different users on one single page so you can see what's happening across crypto & finance without having to scroll through your timeline or search for relevant tags yourself. Want to read content about Solana? You can easily navigate straight to the community page and cut through the noise to get Solana-related news, articles, and the latest happenings. Moreover, CPs allow us to bring crypto communities thriving on web2 platforms to LeoFiance. In general, they will help you discover:
- New and high-quality content
- New talented creators within the community
If you are familiar with Reddit, it will be easy to visualize them because they are quite similar to Subreddits where users & mods engage and manage their activities around a particular topic. Right now there are 20 different community pages available as shown in the below screenshot. You can access them by clicking on the "Communities" Tab on the top navigation panel of LeoFinance.io:
If you click on "Polygon" community page, you will see the following:
- Polygon (MATIC) price
- Links to relevant information about Polygon's ecosystem
- Polygon's official links
- List of community moderators
This information will be available on all the 20 community pages we have. It will help you get started with relevant and correct information about a particular community.
How Do They Work?
Community pages are dedicated feeds curated by different moderators (mods) chosen from the Leo Finance community. Mods can decide what content will be shown in their communities. For example, I am a mod of "HIVE" community page. If I upvote a post having one of the tags as "Hive", then that post will start showing on the top of the "HIVE" community page. As you can see in the below screenshot, all three posts I curated in the last 24 hours with "HIVE" tag are there on the feed. This means that all community pages have their dedicated tags. You just need to include that tag while publishing your post and leave it to the mods.
Tags
The name of the community page can be used as a tag in your hive blog to get curated. For example, Ethereum's tag is "ethereum, Solana's tag is "solana", Debank's tag is "Debank" and so on. While making a posts, please do include these keywords in the tags section. It helps in content discovery and populating feeds.
Please Note: You should always add the first 4 tags relevant to the topic of your post and that should also include one of the community tags. As leofinance UI allows you to add up to 10 tags, HE (Hive Engine) tokens' tags like neoxian, palnet, proofofbrain etc. can be added later on.
Community Moderators
Moderators are like community managers. Their job is to make sure that the community they moderate remains happy, healthy, and helpful. They ensure the health of a community page by curating high-quality content that deserves more attention, visibility, and hence rewards. At the same time, they also discard spam and low-quality content. They can help enforce rules and keep the community running smoothly.
For now, all Leo Ambassadors and some of the curators are official moderators of these communities. You can connect with them in case you have any doubts or ideas about their respective communities and Leo Finance.
Post Quality
Quality is subjective! But here are some basic points you need to keep in mind if you want to get curated by a community page mod:
- High-quality content is authentic. (Don't copy & Paste)
- High-quality content is consistently published.
- High-quality content is unique.
- High-quality content is engaging.
- High-quality content is valuable to the audience.
- High-quality content is focused on the reader.
- High-quality content is thorough, but not overwhelming. (Word count doesn't matter as long as you get the messaging right and backed by proper research)
Social Media Sharing
Sharing your LeoFinance community posts on Web2 social media platform is a great practice. Each social signal will contribute towards the site rankings and individual community page's ranking on search engines. Don't just share the link, include a catchy caption too. Tag LeoFinance's official Twitter account and include one or two tags relevant to your content. Check the below example where I shared a blog about Splinterlands on Twitter:
