Killer Whales S01
If you don't already know, "Killer Whales" is an upcoming reality TV show announced by Coinmarketcap, an aggregator platform for cryptocurrencies, in partnership with HELLO Labs, a Web3 entertainment company. Killer whales, why the fuck not! 😂😂
Entertainment + Business + Crypto. That's a killer combo. The show is inspired by the popular TV series "Shark Tank" and allows Web3 entrepreneurs from around the world to pitch their groundbreaking crypto and NFT projects to a panel of "Killer Whale" judges.
These judges are composed of the most popular influencers, venture capitalists (VCs), and famous founders in the Web3 industry. Even your boi bitbouy crypto is there. I am sure most people won't like him. He will be the cheaper version of Kevin (ST USA) in the show.
Overall, it's a brilliant idea considering how successful Shark Tank is all over the world. There are even different versions based on countries. I loved the last two seasons of Shark Tank India and have seen hundreds of episodes from Shark Tank USA.
Goal Of The Show
The goal of the show is to introduce the next billion people to Web3 technology, highlighting the most innovative projects in the space and educating a global audience on the risks and rewards of Web3 technology.
This could go well for the long-term adoption of crypto. If you can understand something, you can see the value of it. The show's producers aim to entertain and educate viewers on all things crypto, offering a platform for the entrepreneurial energy of the Web3 space to reach homes around the world.
Show's Format & More Info
Each episode of "Killer Whales" focuses on a distinct Web3 genre, including NFTs, gaming, and emerging technologies. The format is designed to help viewers, even those who are not crypto-savvy, understand the technology and its use cases.
The show's filming is set to take place in Los Angeles in the month of June. The premiere episode will be streamed on HELLO TV, and 24 hours on a combination of the world’s biggest video-on-demand services in over 55 countries. That's fkn huge!
Since CMC is one of the co-producers, they will lead the sourcing of the projects that will appear on the show, providing on-screen data and community feedback during the episodes. Projects can showcase themselves on the CoinMarketCap Community platform and invite their followers to help them do so, with the hashtag #CMCxKillerWhales used to track community activity.
Selection Criteria
The show is open to projects of all sizes, with the only criteria being that your cryptocurrency or NFT must already be released and meet the show's entry criteria. The projects are judged similarly to any "real world" business, focusing on their core team, roadmap, partners, technology, and the real-world problem they are trying to solve.

This is a great opportunity for us to showcase our worth to the wider crypto community. The whole world will be watching this show at least once. Other Hive Dapps like @leofinance, @peakd, @ecency, @splinterlands, @dcrops, @hashkings, @wrestorgonline etc. should go as well. I cannot list them all, but you get the point.
