Good day, Hivenians! I hope you're fine while reading my blog today.

As I shared in my previous post, visiting the Simala Shrine in Sibonga, Cebu, at least once a year is always part of my plan.

For the year 2024, I visited the Simala Shrine last December 10, so it was enough for me.

But, unexpectedly, I had an opportunity to revisit the place in the year 2024. I visited the Simala Shrine twice last year.

It was not part of the plan but when we visited L last December 26, her place was near to Simala Shrine.

L asked us if we were able to visit the Simala Shrine and we answered that we visited first her place and we would try if we had more time, we would visit the Shrine.

After that, L's husband asked us again if we already visited the shrine, and answered not yet.

Honestly, we had no intention of visiting the Shrine because of the time and we were afraid that we would arrive at our home very late in addition, I had training the next day. Another reason also was one of my friends and the sister of one of my friends had another belief in terms of religion, so, we did not put in mind that we would visit the Shrine. Yet, I felt guilty if we did not visit the place because two people convinced us to go there and I think it was a sign.

Luckily, they were understandable, and yes, we visited the Simala Shrine. My friends rented a big scarf since it is not allowed to wear short shorts in the area and because it was an unplanned visit we did wear appropriate to the place. I did not rent a big scarf because usually, I always bring it on most of my travel.

My husband, A, and I were the ones who went to the altar of the Simala Shrine and lit a candle after.

After, I let my husband capture some pictures of our visit. It was memorable because we never thought that we had a chance to visit the holy place in Cebu together.

Thank you for reaching this far. If you want to inspire, learn, and witness beautiful scenery, experiences, and places, do not forget to follow, upvote, and reblog my post to support and motivate me to write more. Thank you.

Yes po.. bawal po iyong revealing sa shrine.😊

That was a lovely read! I can totally relate to your unexpected Simala Shrine visit. Sometimes the best adventures happen when you least expect them. It sounds like you had a wonderful and meaningful experience, despite the initial hesitation.

I've heard so much about the Simala Shrine, and it definitely sounds like a place I'd like to visit someday. I appreciate you sharing your personal experience, including the unexpected turn of events. It reminds me that sometimes it's okay to step outside of our plans and embrace the unexpected.
