I have talked and will continue to do so in a section of the blog about animals that are harmful to the garden, but there are also many animals that are beneficial to the garden. These are the predators that help us control pests in the most efficient and clean way possible. Our job will be to attract them and respect them so that they can help us get the best harvests.

The bee-eater is a medium-sized bird, about 30 cm long, that we all love for its flight and its spectacular plumage. It is a migratory bird that comes to Europe to breed.
It may be a little strange that I have put it in this section, taking into account that, as its name indicates, the bee-eater eats bees and this would not be exactly positive for farmers. But this is based on ignorance, since the bee-eater is much more than a specialist in hunting bees, it is a specialist in hunting all kinds of insects in flight.
It was given this name because there are not many other birds that are capable of doing that, hunting bees.
But the benefits it brings are much greater than the inconveniences it causes. Only beekeepers can consider it a problem, but in very exceptional cases, because although it hunts many bees, it also hunts many predators of bees such as wasps.
Thank you very much for supporting my blog and I look forward to your comments.!
