In today's fast-paced world, Many people are forced to leave their homes and start anew and this traveling called the JAPA system has become a common phenomenon with many seeking greener pastures for themselves and their families in another country.
Stagnation can be detrimental to personal growth and progress. As the saying goes, Change is the only constant With this in mind, I've been contemplating a significant change in my life which is immigration. The opportunity to migrate to another country has presented itself, and I'm eager to start anew, pursuing fresh opportunities and creating a better life for myself and my family, most especially, my wonderful kids.
In recent times, I've witnessed numerous friends and family members embark on this journey, including my brother-in-law, who recently moved to Canada under the Permanent Residency program. Their experiences have inspired me to consider immigration. The prospect of starting anew, free from the constraints of my current environment is tantalizing. I envision a life where I can pursue new opportunities, acquire new skills, and provide a better future for my children.
### What is immigration?
Immigration is the act of relocating to another country, leaving behind one's native land to another land. Many people consider migration for numerous reasons, which include economic stability, education, safety, and personal growth.
### Do I wish to migrate?
A lot of things need to be considered when you talk about immigration and that would be pointed out below 👇
One of the primary motivations for my immigration can be as a result of economic stability. Many countries offer better job prospects, higher salaries, and improved living standards. In my country, Nigeria, I face limited career growth and financial constraints. Salaries are being paid at the end of the month and some states can still owe for months without paying. We don't get paid per hour here, have no better job prospects, and have no good standard of living while Immigration can offer a chance to break free from these limitations and secure a more stable financial future.
Education is another significant factor driving immigration. Access to quality education is essential for personal growth and development. By immigrating, I can access better educational institutions, resources, and opportunities, enabling me to acquire new skills and enhance my knowledge. My cousin who relocated enrolled in a school and got a better degree in radiology while she wasted 5 years studying biology education here in Nigeria.
Safety is also a crucial consideration. Political instability, conflict, and insecurity can make one's home country an unsuitable place to live. The happenings here and there in Nigeria can make one have a quick rethink👌 It is a country where armed robbers rob in broad daylight without an iota of being arrested🤔 Immigration provides an opportunity to escape these challenges and find a safer environment for myself and my family.
Personal growth is another reason I'm considering another country. A new environment can foster self-discovery, independence, and self-reliance. By immersing myself in a different culture, I can broaden my perspectives, develop new interests, and become a more well-rounded individual. Immigration can give me a sense of belonging by joining a new society, I can build a new network of friends, colleagues, and like-minded individuals who share similar values and aspirations with me.
Furthermore, immigration offers a chance to escape the limitations of poor leadership and governance in my home country. When leaders fail to provide adequate opportunities and resources, citizens are left with no choice but to seek greener pastures elsewhere.
Does immigration have challenges?
Yes, it does
Immigration comes with its challenges, but I believe the benefits far outweigh the drawbacks or challenges it might cause. I'm excited about the prospect of starting anew, pursuing fresh opportunities, and creating a better life for myself and my family.
If I have a chance to rewrite my story, start anew, and pursue a brighter future, why won't I migrate? If I can break free from the constraints of my current environment and embrace a new chapter in my life, why won't I migrate? I am only waiting for that opportunity to come my way👌
