My dad came home from work that evening and called out to me. His words were "Yemi, there's a rainbow in the sky."
It was 5pm so I doubted his words but I smiled in return and asked. "A rainbow?" Then he repeated, "that thing you like is in the sky"
Without another word I ran out the house to go look at the sky, with my phone in hand actually half expecting to see a rainbow.
I got something equally as beautiful as a rainbow and I was indeed happy that my father knew I would like something like that and call me out to come see it. I was happy that he thought "ah, my daughter love things like this" and didn't hesitate to tell me about it once he got in the house even if he wasn't sure what it was.
Looking back now, it's one of my favourite memories of him, of us ❤️.
