Hello my dear readers and lovers of good food, in this summer there is nothing better than preparing a fresh meal without so many ingredients that you can keep in the fridge and enjoy when you have a craving for something salty.

When looking in the fridge to prepare I realized that I had some broccoli and cabbage and I immediately thought of that popular Chinese food shop suey made with these ingredients.

So I set to work to prepare what in my mind I would call shop suey in my style.

The ingredients I used were:

1 medium cabbage
1 broccoli
2 scallions
Cuts of smoked pork chop or ham.
Soy sauce
Oyster sauce
Sweet and sour sauce (Optional)
Sesame or vegetable oil
Salt

Hola mis apreciados lectores y amantes del buen comer, en este verano nada mejor que preparar una comida fresca y sin tantos ingredientes que puedes guardar en la nevera y degustar cuando tengas algún antojo de algo salado.

Al buscar en la nevera que preparar me di cuenta que tenia unos brócoli y repollo y se me vino enseguida a la mente esa popular comida china shop suey que se hacen con estos ingredientes.

Así que me puse manos a la obra para preparar lo que en mi mente lo llamaría shop suey a mi estilo.

Los ingredientes que utilice fueron:

1 Repollo mediano
1 Brócoli
2 Cebollín
Cortes de chuleta de cerdo ahumada u jamón.
Salsa de soya
Salsa de ostión
Salsa agridulce(Opcional)
Aceite de ajonjolí o vegetal
Sal

The first thing I did was to grate the cabbage in fine cuts with a bandolina of those that we usually use in some homes, in case you do not have it do not worry, you can chop it with the knife or pass it through a beam.

Put it to disinfect with water and vinegar.

Lo primero que hice fue rallar el repollo en finos cortes con una bandolina de esas que solemos usar en algunos hogares, en caso de que no la tengas no te preocupes , puedes picarla con el cuchillo o pasarla por un rayo.

Ponerla a desinfectar con agua y vinagre.

Separate the broccoli and cut the larger ones, disinfect and set aside.

Separar los brócolis y cortar los mas grandes, desinfectar y reservar.

Cortar los cebollines incluyendo el tallo y reservar.

Cut the scallions including the stalk and set aside.

On the stove over medium heat put a wok or large pot and place 2 tablespoons of oil and sauté the protein (smoked cutlet and ham, diced).

En la estufa a fuego medio poner un wok o olla grande y colocar 2 cucharadas de aceite y sofreír la proteína (Chuleta ahumada y el jamón, picados en cuadritos)

Add soy sauce by tilting the wok and let it boil a little, then add the cabbage and mix the ingredients with a large ladle.

Agregar salsa de soya inclinando el wok y dejarla hervir un poco, seguidamente incorporar el repollo.Mezclar un poco los ingredientes con cucharón grande.

Season with oyster sauce and a little salt.
Let the vegetables cook a little until al dente.

Sazonar con salsa de ostión y un poco de sal.
Dejar cocinar un poco los vegetales hasta que estén al dente.
