When we scrap, we also salvage.
So sometimes we are picking up old furniture. This week, we picked up a desk and it contained three boxes of baseball cards.
The desk is small and wood and we may find a home for it. If so we will post what it brings. This is the first set of baseball cards. The box said 1989 Topps Full Set, 792 cards.
These originally were sold by JCPenny Catalog Division. We didn't count the cards, but we suspect it is a complete set. So, we added it to an online auction site. There's two more boxes of cards, but I will save those for a future post, if and when they sell.
This box sold for $24.95 with free shipping, so it will net around $15.
Maybe we should have tried to sell the cards individually, but we don't have anyone that really knows much about baseball cards.
So that brings our 7 day total to $68.09 scrap, $20 saw, baseball cards $24.95= $113.04 Gross Revenue. We will be back on the streets this weekend to see what else we can round up.
