I have always been a cat person more than any other home pet out there; growing up, we had cats, and my relationship with each of them was superb. But now that I'm grown, I haven't had a cat pet of my own, and it's something I wish to have someday. So For the love of cats in this #diy #halloween contest, I have beaded cat-inspired earrings as a way of putting my wish out there in the hope that it will come through someday. After all what is Halloween without a cat lol.
Why don't you come along and let me walk you through the details process.
To make my cat, I needed the following materials:
✓scissors
✓plier
✓two earrings hooks
✓Black seed beads
✓pink seed beads
✓green seed beads
✓fishline, 0.2
✓ Two earrings chain
✓ A beading needle
Step-by-step process
Step 1
I Cut a fishline of 150 cm and threaded it on my needle; I left a tale of 5 cm and put four beads into the fishline, then passed my needle through the first two beads, then through the last two beads, which brought my needle back at the top of the second two beads.
Step 2
This is where I introduced the base of the cat eyes by adding one line of green beads, one line of black beads, and another line of green beads, followed by three lines of black beads. Then, one line of green beads again, one line of black beads, one line of green beads, and then two lines of back beads to complete these lines.
Step 3
I turned the beads and started new lines, starting with four black beads, then completed the line by adding black beads and green beads appropriately to complete the upper part of the eyes.
I completed the line above and proceeded to the next step.
Step 4
I build on the lines by adding two black beads at the beginning and continues with one black beads to finish off the lines
Step 5
Here, I start to form the ear of the cat by turning my beads to the other side and adding just four lines of black beads to one part of the bead.
Followed by three lines of beads and two lines of beads respectively.
Step 6
To complete the ear part, I put one bead into my needle and passed it through the last bead on the left. It gives me that sharp ear shape of the cat. I then passed my fishline to come out at the other end of the beads so I could bead the other ear of the cat.
Step 7
I repeated step 6 above to make the other side of the ear.
Step 8
I continued the last part of the cat by putting four black beads and inserting them on the second bead on the line. Followed by adding one black bead and one green bead twice to complete the cat eye.
And add two black beads and one black bead with one pink bead.
Step 9
I repeated step 8 above to complete the line.
Step 10
In this step I simply add one black bead all through, then one pink to the two pink beads to complete the nose.
Step 11
I added two more rows of single black beads.
Step 12
I finished up my black cat by passing my fishline, to come on the second row of the bead, then add four rolls of single black beads.
Step 13
I simply passed my fishline through a clear part, here I'm very careful so that my fishlines will not be visible. Once I get to the top I added the earrings gold chain and the hook.
I carefully passed all my excess fishlines, tied the knots and trimmed them off and I have one of the earrings done at last😺
Step 14
I simply repeat all the steps above and I have my black cat 🐈⬛ ready😊
A touch of spooky background in line with theme of the season.
What do you think about my black 🐈⬛ cat, I will love to hear it at the comment section.
