Fried Dilis Breakfast Fare

Good morning friends!

Today is a very good day and we deserve to have a hearty and healthy breakfast. I believe that the first meal of the day defines how well we handle our tasks throughout the day. That's why I'm happy to share with you my breakfast for the day.



The following are what we need:

Dried boneless dilis.

Dilis or anchovies are small blue fish that abound in the Mediterranean Sea and the Pacific, Indian and Atlantic oceans. These are processed by cleaning and taking out the bones and then sun-dried. The finished product can be bought from the local supermarket as dried fish. Dilis are rich in calcium, much more than milk. A very healthy fare in a breakfast.



Tomatoes, onions and green chili peppers

You can use as much as you want to make the salad.
These ingredients blend well with the taste of the dried dilis.

Preparation:

1.) Clean and slice the onions, tomatoes and green chili peppers into bite sized portions. Set aside.

2.) Heat the pan and add 2 tablespoons of còoking oil.

3.) As soon as the the oil is ready, add the dilis

4.) Continuously stir the dilis in oil until they become crispy and a little brown in color. Do not over cook.

5.) Mix the cooked dilis, sliced tomatoes, peppers and onions in a serving bowl.

Ready for serving!

Plating:

In your plate, place a cup of rice with fried garlic on top (fried garlic is optional), mixed dilis and 2 sunny side up eggs. By the way, the eggs are cooked separately according to your preference.
