I hope everyone who is reading this right now is doing well! I wanted to give a short update on how my path is going and what my current goals are! I will start with a brief introduction and how I came into Hive Blogging myself. Then I will start with my early successes and goals that I managed to reach. Last but not least I really want to outline my future goals and how I will try to reach them!
Brief Recap
I joined Hive in October of 2021. This means I am now almost 2 years in or as you can see for 23 moons! As a lot of you as well I struggled in the beginning with finding the right community and the utilization of the correct hashtags. I wouldn’t say that I totally figured out the system but I must say that I got a bit better in it every day! This was surely not the only thing I struggled with. As you can see in the picture below, I now have no problems with Resource Credits. Well, this was definitely not always the case. I remember how I struggled in the beginning of finding the sweet spot there, but with increasing Hive Power this problem solved itself.
I started off with blogs about crypto and finances. I also found the cool community of “Sports Talk Social” which I am still part of! But my most posted community is probably the Splintertalk community. I am just enjoying playing this amazing game and writing about my cool achievements in it! Furthermore, I am always trying to find new communities that I like to write about. Most recently I tried out the movie and series community which was fun to write in. Anyways, in recent times I had a bit much to do at work which is why blogging came down to an unfortunate minimum. This is definitely not the state that I would like to keep it in but more on that in the future goals section!
Achieved Goals!
Let’s talk first about all my achieved goals so far! First and foremost, I am very proud of my 3.5k HP that I was able to accomplish! For lots of you that might not be that much, but I am always trying not to compare which is why I am very proud of this achievement! On top of that I am very happy to see that my full vote can give up to 0.17 Hive away! I am definitely not at the end goal here but I am almost at the 0.2 Hive milestone. At the moment the author curations are making the bigger part of my rewards, but if I keep up my curation game like this, this could quickly change.
Why do I think that? Well, at the moment my author rewards are around 250 Hive per month while my curation reward are around 25 Hive per month. Yes there is a big discrepancy at the moment, but the ultimate goal would be to maintain this growth with just the curation Rewards. Nevertheless, I think that around 8$ a month from just reading other’s articles and upvoting them is a pretty cool source. Like I said before, there are certainly bigger fish out there but this is not what I am after. I am trying to reach a sustainable and organic growth within my account and limits which brings me to the next section.
Future Goals
After talking about the things that I was able to achieve: Let’s talk about the things that I still want to achieve! For starters: My first goal until the rest of the year is to reach 5k HP. At my current growth rate this would be not possible which is why I need to up my blogging game a bit! I am planning to post at least 5 times a week from now on for the rest of the year. This is how I am hoping to ramp up my author rewards which would then increase my Hive Power.
Another goal would be to increase my reputation to 71+. I noticed that is currently getting harder to increase once reputation as quickly as it was in the beginning. But I think this goal can also be achieved by just posting a bit more and better. I am planning to touch on finances once again as well as try to increase my reach in other communities! I am defiantly trying to be more active in my current communities again and hope that I can keep up the work there.
Last but not least, let’s talk about the Curation Goal! My Goal until the end of the year would be to reach around 30 HP per month. At current rates that would be around 9$ a month. I would not look at the sole USD number though because it is only half of the truth. We always need to look at the bigger picture and I think that Hive is one of the projects that will excel in the future with more demand of Web 3 applications. And let’s not speak about a potential bull run that is coming up in the next year!
