Espero se encuentren muy bien, el día de hoy les traigo el proceso de esta ilustración que realice usando las pinturas acrílicas, a pesar de que en estos momentos me encuentro entre mis clases de dibujo y los proyectos que estoy realizando quise desestresarme un poco haciendo una pintura más relajada a lo que acostumbro en donde retrato a una prima mía con su gatita plasmando lo que es el amor a nuestras mascotas y la felicidad que nos brinda en nuestras vidas con sus patitas suaves y bigotes curiosos. Hello my creative friends at hive! I hope you are very well, today I bring you the process of this illustration that I made using acrylic paints, although right now I am between my drawing classes and the projects I'm doing I wanted to de-stress a little making a more relaxed painting than I usually do where I portray a cousin of mine with her kitten capturing what is the love for our pets and the happiness that gives us in our lives with their soft paws and curious whiskers. - Lo que utilice para realizar el dibujo en tradicional en una hoja tipo cartulina tamaño 35 x 28 cm, un lápiz de grafito 5 HB y un borrador moldeable y pinturas acrílicas.
- What I used to make the traditional drawing on a 35 x 28 cm cardboard sheet, a 5 HB graphite pencil and a moldable eraser and acrylic paints.
Comencé haciendo el boceto de la ilustración en donde la imagen que tome de referencia es de una foto de hace unos cuantos años de ella y su gatita, primero lo hice con lápiz y use el borrador moldeable para limpiar todo el exceso de grafito. Al terminar comencé a usar mis pinturas acrílicas y para ello prepare los tonos y cree las primeras capas con los tonos básicos para el rostro poco a poco integrando rojos para poder ir saturando más la piel.
I started making the sketch of the illustration where the image I took as a reference is from a photo of her and her kitten from a few years ago, first I did it with pencil and used the moldable eraser to clean all the excess of graphite. When I finished I began to use my acrylic paints and for this I prepared the tones and created the first layers with the basic tones for the face, little by little integrating reds to be able to saturate more the skin.
Comencé a hacer capas con menos cantidad de agua y más pigmento para poder ir construyendo todas sus facciones e irle dando vida a su rostro, mezclando tonos calidos fue que construí el tono de su piel la cual es de un tono moreno, asimismo usé esa misma mezcla de rojo, amarillo, azul y ahora agregue negro para poder ir pintando su cabello. Decidí empezar a construir el fondo el cual es una mezcla de tonos calidos naranjas y amarillos con tonos fríos azul, blanco y negro. Al dejar que se secara comencé a hacer detalles más precisos como lo son resaltar el tono de sus labios, hacer los pelitos de las cejas y acentuar más las sombras tanto de poca luz como de las líneas de expresión, al estar más satisfecha de la forma que tomo la imagen de ella comencé a darle vida a su gatita pintando sus ojos de tonos calidos que la caracterizaban y así comencé a construir todas las tonalidades de su pelaje.
I started to make layers with less amount of water and more pigment to be able to build all her features and give life to her face, mixing warm tones I built the tone of her skin which is a tan tone, I also used the same mix of red, yellow, blue and now I added black to paint her hair. I decided to start building the background which is a mix of warm orange and yellow tones with cool blue, white and black tones. When I let it dry I started to make more precise details such as highlighting the tone of her lips, make the hairs of the eyebrows and accentuate more the shadows of both low light and expression lines, when I was more satisfied with the form that took the image of her I began to give life to her kitten painting her eyes in warm tones that characterized her and so I began to build all the shades of her fur.
Este es el resultado del dibujo, construí el pelaje de su gata usando muchos tonos de marrón tanto iluminados como oscuros y saturados y con poca saturación haciendo todas y cada una de las manchas en su pelaje. Con blanco realice algunos pelitos en el pelaje para darle más forma a ese tipo de pelaje ya que el mismo cuenta con la mezcla de muchos pelitos de muchos tonos hasta crear el patrón que puede apreciarse al verlos de lejos. Agregue algunos últimos detalles en el fondo, profundidad en la atmósfera y otros detalles tanto en el rostro como en la carita de la gatita, para finalizar use pintura acrílica blanca para hacer los bigotes y para dar brillo a los ojos de ambas. Hacer esta ilustración fue un proceso un tanto complicado por mi propio perfeccionismo pero aún así disfrute mucho del proceso y amo mucho pintar gatitos. ❤️✨
This is the result of the drawing, I built the fur of her cat using many shades of brown both light and dark and saturated and with little saturation making each and every one of the spots on her fur. With white I made some little hairs in the fur to give more shape to that type of fur since it has the mixture of many little hairs of many tones to create the pattern that can be seen from far away. I added some last details in the background, depth in the atmosphere and other details in the face and in the face of the kitten, to finish I used white acrylic paint to make the whiskers and to give shine to the eyes of both of them. Making this illustration was a somewhat complicated process because of my own perfectionism but I still enjoyed the process and I love painting kittens. ❤️✨
