Materiales/Materials

Lo que utilice para realizar el dibujo en tradicional en una hoja tipo cartulina tamaño 35 x 28 cm, un lápiz de grafito 5 HB y un borrador moldeable y una barra de carboncillo suave y media.

What I used to make the traditional drawing on a 35 x 28 cm cardboard sheet, a 5 HB graphite pencil and a moldable eraser and a stick of soft and medium charcoal.

✨Paso a paso/ Step by Step✨

Comencé realizando el boceto del dibujo usando una imagen de referencia, tenía bastante tiempo con ganas de dibujarlo en su personaje de Wolverine así que aproveche que tenía un tiempo libre para hacerlo. Luego de tener el boceto comencé a trabajar el punto más importante del dibujo y ese es el rostro, empecé a trabajar la expresión con el lápiz y poco a poco lo difuminaba con el dedo para ir construyendo el tono de su piel además de las sombras y las luces. Luego usando un cutter piqué una de las barras de grafito para darle una punta y así hacer detalles más precisos luego, con el polvo que quedó suelto al picar la barra lo empleé para trabajar las sombras más oscuras y cubrir extensiones más amplias en el dibujo como el cabello y la barba. Con el lápiz realice algunos detalles más específicos en su rostro como los pelitos de sus cejas y acentuar la expresión facial.

I started making the sketch of the drawing using a reference image, I had been wanting to draw him in his Wolverine character for a long time so I took advantage of the free time I had to do it. After having the sketch I started to work the most important point of the drawing and that is the face, I started to work the expression with the pencil and little by little I blurred it with my finger to build the tone of his skin as well as the shadows and lights. Then using a cutter I cut one of the graphite sticks to give it a point to make more precise details and then, with the powder that was left loose when I cut the stick I used it to work the darker shadows and cover wider extensions in the drawing like the hair and the beard. With the pencil I made some more specific details on his face like the hairs of his eyebrows and accentuate the facial expression.

Al tener el rostro casi completamente listo me dedique a trabajar en los detalles de su cabello y barba los cuales fui poco a poco agregando con el lápiz y difuminaba para crear un efecto más suave de esas zonas. Comencé a oscurecer parte de lo que es su chaqueta y sus manos, detallando los pliegues de la chaqueta y los nudillos de sus manos en puños. Con un borrador iba limpiando el alrededor del dibujo y agregando un poco de iluminación en el rostro.

Once I had the face almost completely ready I started working on the details of his hair and beard which I added little by little with the pencil and blurred to create a softer effect of those areas. I started to darken part of his jacket and his hands, detailing the folds of the jacket and the knuckles of his hands in cuffs. With an eraser I was cleaning up around the drawing and adding some lighting to the face.

Este es el resultado del dibujo, construí su cabello haciéndolo con esa forma de orejitas que tiene usando el lápiz y fui haciendo algunos cabellos sueltos para darle más forma, volumen y realismo. Continue sombreando y detallando hasta quedar satisfecha con el dibujo, con el borrador limpié algunas zonas para que se vieran más iluminadas y así darle más forma al dibujo. Detalle el cabello y luego con un borrador limpié de forma recta para crear líneas blancas que imitan la parte iluminada de cada mechón de sus cabello. La mejor parte de dibujar con grafito es todo el proceso de la construcción del dibujo, el crear las sombras y al final darle los toques finales limpiando y agregando luces para darle aún más vida al dibujo. Desde hace un tiempo quería hacer un dibujo un tanto más relajado y usualmente los dibujos con grafito son los veo que son más rápidos de realizar por ello decidí aventurarme y retratarlo de esta manera. ❤️✨

This is the result of the drawing, I built his hair making it with that shape of little ears that he has using the pencil and I made some loose hair to give it more shape, volume and realism. I continued shading and detailing until I was satisfied with the drawing, with the eraser I cleaned some areas to make them look more illuminated and give more shape to the drawing. I detailed the hair and then with an eraser I cleaned straight to create white lines that mimic the illuminated part of each strand of his hair. The best part of drawing with graphite is the whole process of building the drawing, creating the shadows and then adding the final touches by cleaning up and adding highlights to give the drawing even more life. For a while now I wanted to do a somewhat more relaxed drawing and usually graphite drawings are the ones I see that are quicker to do so I decided to venture out and portray him this way. ❤️✨
