Reached 1,200 Followers
First of all, a big thank you to everyone who decided to give me a follow! Whatever your reason for doing so, I hope it hasn't been disappointing, also the topics vary and some of them may be interesting to you while others may not.
Speaking of "follows", have you ever had the impression you should have followed someone, and then, when you check their profile, you see you don't? Is this just a glitch in my memory or is it possible there might be a glitch on (some) front ends or worse, at the back-end? I can't provide any details, since it kind of happened randomly to me a couple of times. Recently too.
Anyway... 1,200 followers. A tiny number on any big centralized social media platform, and apparently, a small number even on Hive. The number of followers isn't fully updated on HiveBuzz, but the order of magnitude is similar:
So... ranked somewhere after the 10,000th by the number of followers (dead or alive accounts).
That doesn't look very well... It's true, I haven't looked at this in ages, and haven't done much to improve the number of followers, or to boost them artificially.
I also rarely approach easy topics, sometimes the topics I talk about are controversial, and people may prefer to stay away from them and look at vacation posts. I understand them, I used to prefer such posts at some point too.
Maybe I should use AI to improve the flow of my phrases. I thought about it a couple of times, but haven't taken any decision about that yet. I know my English is cumbersome sometimes to a native speaker.
What kind of posts do I write? I have been writing daily for a good while. Probably, I will continue to do it, with some potential breaks here and there.
I have 3 "fixed" posts. On Mondays, I record my progress with my Hive goals. If you want to go along in the journey, to encourage or keep accountable, like to find inspiration in such posts where consistency, but also flexibility are exemplified, you are always welcome.
On Fridays, I publish "Week through Adrian's Lenses", a Hive and crypto news roundup, focused mostly on Hive news, and a little bit of crypto. One can navigate between the weekly reports using the links at the top of each such post. That's if you want to check out previous news. So, if you want to stay up to date with things that happen on Hive, this is a good way to do it.
I also have a fixed post at the end of Splinterlands ranked seasons, where I measure my progress toward completing the Rebellion soulbound reward cards set (that's once every two weeks or so). If you want to compare strategies, results or progress, you can do it. But most likely, every account has its own speed of piling up Glint, and thus, a personalized strategy.
Other than that, my posts are often influenced by current events whether from my life, the world, or more specifically, certain fields, like crypto, AI, regulations, geopolitics, etc. or society, in general (or human, in particular).
I do like to switch. So, if I write about a particular topic a few days in a row because I find it fascinating or necessary at the time, at some point I will switch because I know and understand not every reader will be interested in the topic, and I don't want to bore or maybe even upset (if the topic is controversial), those who would prefer to see something else.
150 LEO Staked on LPUD. Why Did the LEO Price Drop?
Today is LPUD and I continued my regular routine of staking 150 LEO every month on LPUD, even though I don't have a LEO staking goal this year anymore.
The price of LEO took a dive lately which probably had many worried. There are a couple of reason why that might've happen.
The most plausible ones are the bad shapes ETH and RUNE find themselves in, and the fact LEO has its biggest LP with ETH, and a serious connection to RUNE via CACAO and the LEO-CACAO pool. Since Thorchain had its issues, the RUNE-CACAO pool on Maya protocol was halted to prevent RUNE from cannibalizing CACAO (maybe it was re-enabled in the meantime, I haven't followed the subject), but not before some value was sucked into RUNE and out of CACAO, and as a result affecting other tokens paired with CACAO, including LEO.
It is also interesting to note that @achim03 found HIVE to be more correlated to ETH among the top coins, but also a positive correlation to the other coins he checked on. Here's his post.
I don't think other potential reasons like Hive-Engine issues and disagreements on the DHF proposal had a serious price impact, since the biggest drop I was aware of (I haven't followed this, but have seen people's reactions on chain), seem to have coincided to the period when ETH had its recent price drop like it was the end of the world, which... it wasn't.
Now... if ETH will have a proper bull market, it is probable the reverse effect would happen on the price of LEO. Same, although less impactful, if RUNE resolves its issues. I do assume INLEO partnering with Solana will have a huge impact as well. The other ecosystems on the list are important too, but this one is hot and it will probably create bigger waves through the marketing campaigns. Note that this extends to the price of HIVE, judging from what happened during the Inleo-DASH marketing campaigns.
