Did you know that the ability to speak to people both in public and private is a characteristics of a rich person? This people know how to complement people, they know how to stroke people's ego and they know how to make deals. There are certain skills that once learned can help make ones journey to success easy and one of them is the ability to speak in to people public and in private.
Being able to talk with people without fear is a big way to learning communication, connecting, and networking. Asides doing this, you can also learn rejection and failure from talking to strangers, this is because not everyone is in the mood to talk. If you are a young guy, you can decide to take a task of talking to three young ladies daily with no ulterior motives. By doing this, a lot of them might snub you or reject your offer immediately but it would help build your confidence and your absorber for failure and rejection in the corporate world.
What is the worst that could happen if you decide to complement someone? A lot of people are scared, thinking that the person they are going to say something to is going to embarrass them, or be rude to them but you see, people like being told good thing, they like when their ego is being stroked. Complementing makes people feel special, so it would be very rare to see someone who will embarrass you because you are telling them something good, and if they do, it is their loss and not yours. You don't have to be an extrovert to be successful, you just need to learn communication skill and not be scared of talking with people.
Never jump process if you are willing to be successful because when you jump process, you are bound to fail, either you like it or not. Do not just to a business because you have the money to do it, rather you should take it step by step because you would learn and not lose all at once. You should learn to not jump because with money, you want to do everything but in reality, you should not because you might be burning cash if you are not picking the right vehicle at the right place and time.
Another thing that I have decided to tell people is to be a producer and not a consumer if they intend to become financially successful. Not everyone can produce, we must have a balance of both with lots of people being the consumers while a few being the producers but you shouldn't fall in the spectrum of consumers all the time because you will be spending money as a consumer while you will be making money as a producer.
Never put people on a pedestal. That celebrity is just like you, they are no different and they are as humans as you are. You just need to believe in yourself and your vision, and pursue it with all thy might, and you would see that over a period of time, things would begin to fall in place. I didn't say in a short period of time because nothing falls in place within a short period of time. You need to look at a 5 year or 10 year plan and improve yourself everyday that you are too confident in your competence.
