Greetings wonderful ladies of hive, my name is @gemangel and his is my first entry in this platform. This week I will be writing on; Guidance and wisdom to your younger self (the first Topic for the week).
this photo is originally captured by me and edited wit the help of an application called InShot
As much as I have taught myself never to live in regrets as we can never really turn the hand of time, I do however, can’t help but think, if I knew the things I knew now earlier or when I was younger, could I have been better? Most probably yes. So if I had the chance to give guidance, insight and wisdom to my younger self, basically I would only say three things
•SEEK TO KNOW GOD
Growing up, I always had a lot of inferiority complex. Part from it stemmed from family issues, others from the kind of friends I had, but it was mainly the fact I didn’t know who I was. I didn’t know who Angel was and how special she is, how important Angel is to creation how called out Angel is by God. A song writer once said “when I know you I’ll find me” (An original by Dunsin Oyekan TO KNOW YOU).

So this is me saying to younger Angel, know God. Seek God first and all others will be added (Matthew 6:33), Peace-of-mind, the right relationships, the right path, name them. Because it is only through Christ you can find yourself. By knowing; what he says about you? What are his thoughts towards you? Who does he say you are? I would let her know that whether she believed it or not, she needed God more than he did but yet, he gave his life so she can have a life to live and the most important thing was for her to get to know what the one who knows he more says about her and not what others think.
So far so good me intentionally getting to know God is the best thing that ever happened to me because it has broaden my knowledge on so many things. I now understand that people will not always accept or like me and that’s ok after all, not everyone accept Christ too. If I knew thing like this when I was younger, I would not have beaten myself up for things that wasn’t my fault and out of my control.
•LEARN PATIENCE
Patient was something I never really had growing up and as much as I hate to admit, most of the bad decisions I walked into was because I was too in patient to wait for the right one. Even the bible says in Ecclesiastes 9:11 that TIME and CHANNCE happen to them. Also, in Romance 9:16. Basically, this is my telling young Angel that it is not about rushing in to thing but there is time for everything, another person’s time may not be yours but when i is you time, everything will be made chance for you. Furthermore, the difference between there and here is a “T” which stands for Time so wait till it’s your time.

•DO IT TILL YOU ARE SATISFIED WITH THE RESULTS.
Many a times in my life I used to pray for perfection even though I know the closest a humans on their own could get to perfection, was by being excellent and even then I didn’t still feel like I was excellent at what I did. It was like the case of, Jack of all traded expert at none. I knew a little bit of almost everything but much of nothing. Sometimes I would find my self lacking in area I thought I had an idea but the truth s, I was just really too lazy to but the extra work in getting things done, I was ready to do thing till I knew that I have done well enough.

So this is me saying to my younger self, out in the work if it’s training train to you are satisfied with the result and until you achieve that, you will never really be able to achieve excellence.
