A Closer Look At The Impact Of Technology On Humanity.

in #hive-1538508 months ago

The impact of technology on the world today can't be quantified, and if we look around, everything in the world has a deep connection with technology. It's just impossible to live without something that makes life a lot easier for us. With it, we have been able to improve the quality of life, expand our knowledge about a lot of things, and tackle lots of things that pose challenges for the human race.

Sometimes when I read about how our ancestors lived and the pictures start playing in my head, I feel like it would have been disastrous if I was born as an introvert during those days, but the truth is that there were introverts and they survived back then.

Technology has been around for quite a while, even though it's not as advanced as we have it today, and it would interest you to know that every technology we are enjoying today started with little inventions. Our ancestors had to settle with their little invention then, just like we are doing now, and it made life easier for them to some extent. It would interest you to know that just like we felt our ancestors suffered without what we are enjoying today, the coming generation will also feel about us because the evolution of technology never stops.

I have seen people condemn technology for its negative effects, and it makes me laugh because these same people are the ones who can't live a minute without technology. In this age we live in, even kids know that there is always a bad side to everything tagged as good.

It would be unwise to think that the human race can survive without technology in this age and time. The tremendous increase in the world population has condemned us to depending completely on technology. Today, the world struggles with so many diseases, and without technology, humans will die like birds because there won't be facilities to combat many life-threatening illnesses around the world. It doesn't just end with health matters, and there are lots of things technology is helping the human race with.

Despite the awesomeness of technology and how it has helped the human race, I still feel like there are things that technology has gone too far with. I am definitely not saying technology is bad, but there are some inventions that aren't really necessary, and if we are sincere, I don't see the good use of these things.

While the world was struggling with COVID-19, one of the world leaders celebrated his military success in creating one of the deadliest nuclear weapons in the history of mankind. I couldn't process the joy on his face, and it got me wondering if nuclear weapons were what should be paramount for the human race at that crucial time when the world was mourning.

The cost of building a nuclear weapon is not cheap, and the funds can be diverted into really pressing issues in society today. I know everyone wants to become powerful; world leaders want nations to tremble at the mention of their names, but the end of it all is destruction because no good thing will come from those weapons other than that.

Building nuclear weapons is one of the things I tag as unnecessary because we will be fine without them. The human race went too far with technology on that, and if I could travel back in time, I would end the origin of many weapons and not just nuclear weapons.

One thing we need to understand pretty well is that there is no technology without humans. We are responsible for every invention, so it's not like technology is pushing the human race to its end; it's the human race that has failed to put their inventions in check.

There are a whole lot of things we can channel our technological resources toward, so why focus on things that can only bring destruction to humanity?

Whenever I come across the stories of lives ended by cancer, it makes me really sad. The world has lost a lot of beautiful souls to that deadly disease, and it's really surprising that, despite what the human race is capable of doing with technology, curing cancer isn't one of them.

Cancer does not just end lives; it causes pain and even puts families in debt that might be passed on to future generations. People try a lot to defeat it, but they get defeated after all their efforts.

We appreciate being able to travel across the globe from the comfort of our homes, the improvement of communication, transportation, and many others. They have made life a lot easier, and creating a cure for this deadly disease would be a great addition to the impact of technology on the world unlike building nuclear weapons that aren't in line with our values.

Like I mentioned earlier, technology isn't the problem. It's humans that don't know what next and end of blaming technology when the impact of what we prioritize starts haunting us.

Sort:

Do you know I have asked myself times without numbers why is there no cure for cancer yet. Sincerely, it's always disheartening for someone to see their loved ones died because of cancer. If only the deadly disease can be cured, it would have been amazing. Same with this disease called cancer of the nose, I have forgotten the name but it's also deadly too.

Honestly, it baffles me too and there is a lot those powerful men up there are hiding from us. I still do not believe there is a cure but they are silent about it because of the millions of dollars they get from cancer patients every year.

Exactly. Cancer treatment is a whole lot and if you don't have, you lose your life to it. So pathetic. I really wish the cure could be revealed.

With rapid technological advances, we also have to be careful, because every time there is a new innovation, there are positive and negative things, thank you for sharing, friend.

You are very correct, every innovation has it bad side and we just have to be extra careful with our inventions and how we use them.

Exactly, I agree with your perspective and I must say you made valid points here. Technology isn't the problem indeed.
Thanks for this post.

Yeah, technology isn't the problem and if humans can change channels technological resources into great things, the world would be a more better place to live.

it's the human race that has failed to put their inventions in check.

That's the truth. Human race being influenced by its selfish goals has not put a limit to the usage of its technological knowledge. Consequently, we came up with the inventions that are threatening to the existence of humanity.

The world is where it is today because of greed and people selfish interest. The money directed to making those weapons of destruction can actually be used to sponsor research on many things that would have post impact on the world but no, they want to seen as god so the create things that would only bring pain.

Thanks for your thoughtful comment.

It is a fact that the advantages of technology are more and the disadvantages are less because we are seeing technology in every field of life today and through which the life of all of us is becoming easier.
