The photo session with Keny was not the end of my mission to build a portfolio. I continue to strive to find and discover other talents who can model for my portfolio. In my town, it’s quite challenging to find experienced models, mainly because there is little demand for models for professional photo shoots. This has forced me to rely on my personal connections to find talents for my shoots.
If you look through my posts, you’ll see that I’ve done two photo sessions with Calista. She’s an acquaintance of mine, and her posture and facial features are very appealing for modeling. However, I don’t particularly enjoy working with her because she often changes outfits to something different from the mood board I created beforehand, and she tends to be late, wasting the time I’ve set aside for the shoot.
For this photo session, we agreed to start around 3:30 in the afternoon because at that time, the sunlight in my area is soft enough, making it ideal for a photo shoot. However, she arrived almost at 4:30, and by then, the light was already starting to fade. I had to rush to capture the photos, but unfortunately, the weather was quite cloudy, so I ended up making the photos black and white.
Because the photo session started so late, I only managed to take a few photos. Fortunately, the location where we did the session had a nice indoor area, so I decided to take some shots there. Even though it didn’t match the original mood board, I still hoped to capture some good photos. As a photographer, I must remain professional, regardless of how bored I was waiting for Calista. I still needed to produce good photos for her.
Although this photo session could be considered a failure in terms of the mood board and timing, I was fortunately still able to produce some photos that I think turned out well. What do you think? I made them black and white because I felt it suited the surroundings and Calista’s mood. I hope you like them too. After this, I’ll be sharing some of my photos with a new model who I believe has a very captivating face and mood. I hope you look forward to it.
Warm regards from me.
