Oh my gosh, I almost forgot to share this post of mine. It's still from the event I handled yesterday. Unfortunately, these photos were not in one folder, so I completely forgot to share them with this community. This event was a fashion show with the theme of using traditional batik from my city. There were quite a few participants in this event, divided into two categories: children and adults.
This event was quite interesting because, for me, it was a way to introduce the traditional batik from my city to the visitors who watched the event. The traditional batik from my city is not as well-known as batik from other regions, mainly because there are very few batik artisans here. Moreover, I noticed that it's very rare for local people to want to preserve this batik tradition. For example, a friend of mine once had a boutique selling traditional batik fabrics, but now the boutique has closed down because there were too few visitors coming to buy, making the operational costs unsustainable. However, with this event, I hope that one day batik from our city can become as famous as batik from other regions. And here are the photos from the event:
Watching the children's fashion show walk on the catwalk like top models was truly adorable. As a photographer specializing in fashion portraits, witnessing this made me smile with pride for them, as they displayed such bravery at their young age, confidently performing in front of the audience at this event. I know, some of you might think that the catwalk we prepared isn't up to the standards of a fashion show, but believe me, with our limited budget, we did our best to showcase their talents to as many people as possible. Fortunately, the event went smoothly.
I actually wanted to share photos from the adult category fashion show as well, but I think it would be too many pictures to post here. So, I'll just share a few so you won't get bored. By the way, thank you to everyone who has commented and read my post. I hope we can always bring positive and beneficial things to the people around us.
Warm regards from me.
