Estoy muy contenta de compartir de nuevo con ustedes, después de tanto corre y corre, motivados a los últimos días de clase y graduaciones, desde hace un tiempo he venido creando algunos detalles para darle a mis chicos de Seminario, una clase que imparto en mi iglesia a los jóvenes de 14 a 17 años.

This is my third year as a teacher and in previous years I only had one graduate, so it was easy to make a single detail, but this time there were 7 graduates, so the occasion deserved a little more effort, in total there were 12 young people graduating from 5 different teachers.
Por lo que al ser la que tenía más graduandos me designaron a mí a realizar los cotillones para dichos graduandos, un desafío que acepté aunque soy nuevo en este arte, más confiando en Dios me dispuse a dar lo mejor de mí y a poner en práctica la creatividad, para este proyecto utilicé:
- 12 botellas de refresco reciclables, del mismo diseño, ya que en mí país son muchas las marcas y por ende cada una tiene diseños diferentes.
- 4 láminas tamaño carta de foami normal (2 azul claro, 1 azul rey y 1 fucsia)
- 4 láminas de foami escarchado dorado
- 14 láminas metalizadas azul claro.
- Tijeras lisas y de forma.
- Pistola de silicón y barras de silicón.
- Cúter
- Marcador, lápiz, escuadra, cartón grueso.
- Calcomanías diseñadas por mí en Canvas.
So being the one that had more graduates I was appointed to make the cotillions for these graduates, a challenge that I accepted although I am new to this art, but trusting in God I was ready to give the best of me and to put into practice the creativity, for this project I used:
- 12 recyclable soda bottles, of the same design, since in my country there are many brands and therefore each one has different designs.
- 4 letter size sheets of normal foami (2 light blue, 1 royal blue and 1 fuchsia).
- 4 gold frosted foami sheets
- 14 light blue metallized sheets.
- Smooth and shaped scissors.
- Silicone gun and silicone sticks.
- Cutter
- Marker, pencil, square, thick cardboard.
- Decals designed by me in Canvas.
Lo primero que hice fue medir la parte larga del envase, marqué y corté con el cúter.
Con el extremo inferior del envase marqué círculos en el cartón y los corté. En los foami dorados marqué y corté líneas de 1,5 cm de ancho y en el azul metalizado marqué 12 líneas de 4 cm y luego marque el centro de cada una de ellas.
The first thing I did was to measure the long part of the container, mark and cut with the cutter.
With the lower end of the container I marked circles on the cardboard and cut them. On the gold foami I marked and cut 1.5 cm wide lines and on the metallic blue I marked 12 lines of 4 cm and then marked the center of each one of them.

I cut the ribbons in the metallized foami and again from the center cut outwards leaving a slight crown in the center; I glued the cardboard with silicone to the normal light blue foami and then cut 6 sheets of metallized foami in the middle and cut 24 square pieces to the width of the foami, then I glued the crown ribbons around the cardboard and then glued this to the metallized foami.
Ya tenía casi listo los birretes para mi cotillón, para las bordas corté 12 piezas de 3 cm por 10,5 cm, y corte flecos a lo ancho dejando un extremo de 0,5 cm, también corté retazos de 0.5 cm para la cinta de la borda y otras 0,7 cm de ancho para el borde de la borda. I had almost ready the birettes for my cotillion, for the bordas I cut 12 pieces of 3 cm by 10.5 cm, and cut bangs to the width leaving an end of 0.5 cm, I also cut pieces of 0.5 cm for the ribbon of the borda and other 0.7 cm wide for the edge of the borda. I rolled the border sticking the ribbon in the center and adjust with silicone until the whole foami was rolled, then to close I glued the top end of the border with the 0.7 cm small ribbons to the width and cut.

For the diplomas I cut rectangles of fuchsia and royal blue foami 7 cm long by 4 cm wide, rolled them and adjusted them with gold thread and glued them to one end of the cotillion. Once the cotillion was ready, I started to fill it.
Para llenar estos cotillones utilicé algunos artículos escolares que le serán de utilidad a la hora de marcar las escrituras y por supuesto algunas golosinas. Realizar estos cotillones me llevó unas 30 horas aproximadamente, pero la satisfacción de lograrlo a tiempo no tiene precio, es realmente gratificante poder estar al servicio de los demás sirviendo a la vez a nuestro Señor.
To fill these cotillions I used some school supplies that will be useful when marking the scriptures and of course some candy. Making these cotillions took me about 30 hours, but the satisfaction of getting it done on time is priceless, it is really rewarding to be able to be of service to others while serving our Lord.
