Hi Everyone!!!
My name is Omojiade Gladys from Edo State Esan, South precisely. I was born and brought up in Lagos State, although some challenges occurred in the family and we had to move to my mom's native town which is Benin in Edo State.
How I joined the Hive
There was a day I discussed with my colleague at work (@princessbusayo) that I needed to start getting an extra income and that if she sees or knows of any job vacancy around, she should let me know, it was from there she to tell me about herself and what she does. She told me a lot of good things about the Hive platform that it is very educative and inspiring and that I will love it and also earn from it since it doesn't necessarily mean you have to leave your house or comfort zone.
That same day, she was able to convince me where by telling me all the necessary things I needed to know about Hive and she was able to get me registered. She also went by telling me how to use it, how to register and log in to the website, and also what the website entails.
So let's talk about myself...
Like I said earlier, my name is Omojiade Gladys. I am serving as a corps member in Oyo state and currently undergoing my PPA which is also known as my place of primary assignment.
Come closer let me tell you about my National youth service Journey...
I graduated from the prestigious University of Ambrose Alli in Edo State, formerly called Bendel State University which is AAU in the year 2022, after that, I had to travel down to Lagos to stay with my sister because I was already done with school and also awaiting my results.
We kept on waiting for the result until it was released in the year 2023 and joyfully had to wait for the Nysc portal to be opened so I could start my registration for National Youth Service. By August, the portal was opened and I happily registered. After my registration, I had to wait for my call-up letter which was to come out between four to five days after registration, so I guessed mine came out five days after my registration, and guess what? I was posted to Katsina state. I was wondering what is this with the rate of insecurity in the country, I will have to travel down to Katsina from Lagos.
The day after myself and my sister had to go to the park to find out about the transportation fare, we were told not only was it a high price, but it was also a 24-hour journey. I almost started crying right there and I was being consoled by my sister as she kept on encouraging me. It was later someone had to notify us that I could decline it and revalidate during the next registration, I was so happy instantly that I told my sister that I would not be going to Katsina anymore and I would wait for the next registration.
Months later, the portal was reopened and I had to revalidate. Luckily for me, I was posted to Oyo State. I was so happy on the day I received my call-up letter.
Days later, I went for my Orientation Course which lasted for three weeks and after the three weeks, I had to go receive my posting letter which I did on that same day. Guess what? Immediately after I received my posting letter, I saw a Baptist high school in Saki, I was shocked because I wasn't expecting it because I was expecting the city of Oyo which is Ibadan.
I had to travel down to the Saki local government where I met with my Local government inspector and I was also directed to the school. Luckily for me, I was accepted, although at first, I cried when talking to the principal and some of the staff there had to encourage me by telling me a lot of nice things about the place. Sincerely speaking, saki is a nice place that you will want your child or siblings to be.
My Hobbies are Cooking, Reading moral books, and writing. On Hive, I want to be focused and determined so I can obtain my aims and objectives on the Web 3 blockchain.
Thank you everyone for your time
