Disfraz de cometa al estilo Esther y mami 🤭✨ -(Spa-Eng)

El día jueves será el cierre de proyecto en el preescolar de mi hija lo cual dará paso al inicio de una nueva jornada escolar, en este particular las docentes eligieron de temática los juegos tradicionales de mi país, entre una larga lista que nos proporcionó la maestra yo me tomé la libertad de elegir la/el cometa.

Siempre me ha gustado observar los chicos de mi calle jugando a volar cometa aunque aquí lo conocemos comúnmente como "volador" me hace recordar mis días de infancia acompañando a mi hermano a qué realizará sus vuelos yo era la persona que debía sostener el "volador" hasta que llegara un viento fuerte que pudiera elevar este extraño juguete para mí, elaborado con "varillas" que traían de los morichales.

En esta ocasión no iremos al morichal jajaja, sino que nos pondremos un poco más prácticos y creativos porque esta "cometa" no va a volar, así que usaremos unos materiales muy diferentes a los tradicionales.

En esta ocasión les voy a compartir la lista de materiales que utilice para elaborar este disfraz de "cometa"

2 pliegos de cartulina escolar en tono rosa
8 foami tamaño carta en diferentes tonos (rosado, morado, azul y amarillo) quería algo bien colorido.

Thursday will be the closing of the project in my daughter's preschool which will give way to the beginning of a new school day, in this particular the teachers chose the theme of traditional games of my country, among a long list that the teacher gave us I took the liberty to choose the kite.

I have always liked to watch the kids in my street playing kite flying, although here it is commonly known as "volador " it reminds me of my childhood days accompanying my brother to make his flights, I was the person who had to hold the "volador " until a strong wind came that could lift this strange toy for me, made with "varillas " that they brought from the morichales.

This time we will not go to the morichal hahaha, but we will get a little more practical and creative because this "kite " is not going to fly, so we will use very different materials than the traditional ones.

This time I am going to share with you the list of materials I used to make this "kite" costume.

2 sheets of pink school card stock
| 8 letter size foami in different shades (pink, purple, blue and yellow) I wanted something colorful.

Ya con todos los materiales a la mano, damos inicio a esta bonita elaboración.

Lo primero que hago es dibujar en la cartulina la silueta o esqueleto del cometa, este disfraz al ser doble, obviamente los pasos debo hacerlos dobles para cubrir ambos lados, parte frontal y posterior.

Definida la forma de la cometa, esta medida me quedo perfecta para la estatura de mi niña. Recorte mi figura, Agarro el otro pliego de cartulina y utilizo la pieza recortada como un patrón de manera que las dos piezas queden del mismo tamaño y diámetro.

Ahora empiezo a cortar el foami de la forma en la que están cada cubículo del cometa, para no complicarme tanto sacando cada forma yo pegue el foami directamente con el silicón caliente y recortaba el excedente del foami con mi tijera, pensé en sacar de manera individual y a mano alzada cada pieza, pero considero que de esta forma me ahorraba más tiempo y trabajo, así que ustedes siéntanse libres de utilizar la técnica que más les guste.

With all the materials at hand, we start this beautiful elaboration.

The first thing I do is to draw on the cardboard the silhouette or skeleton of the kite, this costume being double, obviously I have to make double steps to cover both sides, front and back.

Defined the shape of the kite, this measure was perfect for my girl's height. Cut out my figure, I take the other sheet of cardboard and use the cut out piece as a pattern so that the two pieces are the same size and diameter.

Now I start to cut the foami in the shape of each cubicle of the kite, to not complicate so much taking out each shape I glued the foami directly with hot silicone and cut the excess foami with my scissors, I thought about taking out individually and freehand each piece, but I think this way I saved more time and work, so feel free to use the technique that you like.

Con mucha paciencia voy armando cada triángulo de la cometa con un color distinto, una vez que ya tenga todos los triángulos listos, voy a recortar todo el excedente que me quedan de los bordes, dejando un resultado más limpio y prolijo.

En mi caso quedaron ciertos espacios vacíos porque no llegaba la lámina de foami a cubrir completamente, así que hice algunos empates, siempre cuidando de hacer un trabajo bonito y bien elaborado.

Ya con esto tenemos el trabajo bien adelantado, nos resta es ponernos creativos en cuanto a la decoración del disfraz, yo realice varios lazos con los sobrantes del foami para decorar la cometa, elabore 6 piezas en forma de lazo bien coloridos, para dar esos detalles de color.

Elabore dos lazos enormes, demasiado bellos para que fueran parte de la base del cometa, les da un punto visual único, aquí combine 3 colores, azul, morado y amarillo, que
¡se ven muy bien juntos!

With a lot of patience I will assemble each triangle of the kite with a different color, once I have all the triangles ready, I will trim all the excess that I have left on the edges, leaving a cleaner and neater result. In my case there were some empty spaces left because the foami sheet did not cover completely, so I made some ties, always taking care to make a nice and well elaborated work.

Now that we have the work well done, it remains for us to get creative in terms of decorating the costume, I made several bows with the leftover foami to decorate the kite, I made 6 pieces in the form of colorful bows, to give those details of color.

I made two huge bows, too beautiful to be part of the base of the kite, it gives them a unique visual point, here I combined 3 colors, blue, purple and yellow, which look great together!

Como toque final le añadí una tiras de tela para simular la colita del cometa y también añadí unos listones para elaborar los sujetadores del disfraz para que al momento de mi hija hacer la exposición quedará ajustado y fijo al cuerpo.

Y esto fue todo mi gente bella gracias por llegar hasta aquí, está es mi primera vez elaborando un disfraz, espero que les sirva de guía o ayuda, y me hagan saber en los comentarios que tal les pareció.

As a final touch I added a strips of fabric to simulate the tail of the comet and also added some ribbons to make the fasteners of the costume so that at the time of my daughter to make the exhibition will be tight and fixed to the body.
