I checked in the Forbes list of the top ten richest people in the world, and I found out they never achieved their wealth through the path society made us to believe is the right way.
What is this path to success that society made us to believe?
You are born, you have to spend almost eighteen years of your life going to school, then you spend another forty years working for someone, then retire at old age and rest for the few remaining years of your life, then die. Why didn't the top riches people on earth follow this path, if was the best way to wealthy.
None of richest followed the rat race because they want to be king of the jungle. In the jungle only lions rules, a rat can never become a king, that is why the rich do not join the rat race.
Going to school is very important because it enlighten and gives you exposure, but you don't have to depend solely on your degree for survival. School will not take you out of the rat race, it is only what you learn outside school that would give you the opportunity to live like a king.
You cannot spend your entire life working, that is what school teach you to do, that if you want to survive, you have to keep working. If you keep working money, your body will get devalued and worn out with time. If you know how to make money work for you, a lot of stress will be saved and your body restores to normal.
Investment is the only way to make money work for you, not employment. If you need enough time to enjoy life, you have to change that employment mindset to investment. Start investing early today with the little you have, don't save money for retirement it is a waste of time, your money will get devalued by inflation and other expenses.
The goal is not to rely on degree alone because only few get wealthy with it. The richest people knew this early, that is why they went for financial literacy before academics, because the path is not promised.
Your degree is important, but depending on it alone is like creating alignment with poverty. Go financial literacy and invest if you want to be wealthy.
