Our city apartment's campaign against the cockroach was an odd and difficult one. While our parents lived in the village, my brother and I were on our own. We had no idea what kind of fight this was going to be.
We noticed that the cockroaches were more troublesome in the evenings and at night. We were uncomfortable around these creatures, but they weren't terrified of us. Their number increased over time, and they appeared to seize control of our home without having to pay rent. At first we made little effort to deal with them, other than the occasional crush of those we came across.
The cockroaches became more threatening, and things got out of hand. Even as we slept, they would enter our bodies, sending us into a state of panic and confusion as we tried to get rid of them. They started acting arrogant and proud, as if they were prepared to fight us to the death.
The chief cockroach called a conference and declared war on us on that terrible day. They sent us a letter announcing the conflict's date as this coming Friday (our cockroach are educated 😂). We were provoked to act by this. My brother wanted to raid them to death, but we couldn't afford it, so we had to buy food instead of insecticide.
We turned to our aunt in need for assistance. Since Friday was quickly approaching and she had a can of raid, we took quick action. We sealed all the doors and windows after raiding the entire house on Thursday. We thought that by creating a setting as dark as night, this would invite the cockroaches to gather together.
We certainly surprised the cockroaches with our sudden attack. We let off the powerful and dangerous raid chemical, and that is how they died. Their population was completely destroyed as a result of the fight, an untimely end that they had caused for themselves.
There was a scene of unexplained cockroach deaths when we got back from school. The cockroaches had lost the war and were now at peace. It was an unfortunate end to a fight that had started because of their own provocation.
This story is actually a real one with a little bit of fiction
