Motherhood: The process Of stoping Breastfeeding.

Motherhood is one school that you would attend without any textbook or guideline and you expected to pass during this period of study , You learn and unlearn.
People who have graduated from the school (motherhood) might give you their past questions and handout(experience and what works for them) some would offer their advice, those advice might not solve the problem of your our child because your case is just so different.

My sunshine 👑☀️

My baby is a year and nine months old now and we are still breastfeeding. Some well meaning people advice I stop him from sucking because he is older now.
Some said I shouldn't stop yet since he isn't walking without support.

Well my baby walks but with support and he is so scared of walking on his own.
I have been worried about how I can help him be strong and bold.

Because he isn't walking yet without support I continued to breastfeed him, but I feel so tired already and I want to stop.
Yes! it's already three days since I last breastfeed him,Each time he comes close to me and request to suck I feel like giving up and just allow him. I feel pity for him expecially at night when he usually cry .and want to suck.
It's been an roller coaster of emotions for me and him, these process has given me more sleeplessness than when breastfeeding him. I would have to wake up to give him either water, banana or cereal that's what am using to wean him.
I didn't instantly stopped, I reduced the number of time I gave him breast till.

So far it hasn't been easy but I am determined to complete these process with him, let's face another phase.

There's no rush in weaning. I breastfed my daughter for 22 months and it was fairly easy to stop. I talked to her a lot about how big she was and that I was tired. I explained that I would still love her, and we could cuddle , etc. And she accepted it very well.

That's so sweet of you. I wish it was that easy with my boy. 🙂

Some nights seems like a war with him, but I've been winning the battle with little sleep. Lol

Thanks so much for your nice comment.
