Last Friday, we celebrated that annual Halloween party at the office. We stop doing this for two years due to pandemic, and now we are getting back to firing up our decorations. This year's theme are all about Disney cartoon movies like Up, Inside Out, Monster Inc, Coco, Encanto, Toy Story and Alice in Wonderland. Unfortunately due to busy schedule I only got to capture some images but I still want to share it to you guys because all are product of hard work.

Below is from our department. Our theme is Inside Out. Remember the characters of Sadness,Fear, Anger and Disgusts? I made all of their standees. Inside Out is a movie that is all about the young girl Riley on her teens and the conflict she experiences featuring her emotions.

This is the door to go inside the memories of Riley.

When you enter inside, you will see my standee of Riley (I draw it) and a mini Photoboot, featuring her core memories (the core memories are those colorful circles). You see there is a garbage can in the middle, it has a video inside it that features the 18-minute trailer of Inside Out.

This is what it looks like when the light is off. I put the standee of Anger (the one in red behind Sadness) Sadness (the one in blue) and Disgust (the standee in green color). I am proud to say that I am the one who draw them.

This is on the other side. This serve as the office of the emotions that works on Riley's core memories. On the picture are the characters Joy (in the middle) Anger (in red color), Sadness (in blue color) and Fear (violet color). I also made a control panel where they work on Riley's emotion. The above colorful circles stands for Rile's core memories. We put a hole on a cartoon, cover it with color bond paper and put Christmas lights in between.

I made a box out of recycle box, covered with colorful cartolina and I created eyes out of bond paper. I just draw the eye balls.

This one is a closer view of the control panel. I didn't do exactly as the movie because we run out of time, but anyways, it looks similar to it.

I hope you enjoy the pictures, as well as our creativity and passion. We won 2nd place and the grand winner is Sales Department with Alice in Wonderland. The criteria includes the use of recycled materials and wearing costumes. We don't have a costume provided so we are very happy that we got 2nd place. Maybe because the judges saw our creativity using recycled materials.

Teamwork makes the Dream Work

That is what I proved last week. During the last week of the month, our department is very busy because we handle deliveries and shipment. Time is our enemy all the time. Since we need to meet the quota sales every month, we need to work hand in hand. However, if we are very busy, we don't have time for other things like halloween decorations. We started these decorations Monday last week and I never imagine how we able to push this one. I guess the power of team work, works best on us and we work efficient and effective as a team.

We are happy able to won 2nd place. For real, we are not expecting to win at all, but when our department name was called, it leaves a tear on my eyes. After that, I felt I was too tired but still resume getting my regular work done. I appreciate our effort. I never expected that this kind of event will boost my confidence as a person.
