Fellow Scholars and Scribes! I bid you welcome to the third annual SCRIBE SPOTLIGHT! π mosh pit ensues π
Each year we take a month to celebrate and commemorate our most diligent and talented authors. πΊ
All quotes in this showcase are from the spotlighted creator's works.
Our next spotlight was close to being our Scribe of the Year. To be frank, it was very close. I wish maybe we could have more specialized spotlights maybe. Food for thought. Right now, we are here to celebrate one of our brightest, most dedicated quills on the platform. A lover of coffee and creepy tales. A staple if there ever was one. Ladies and gents, I bring to you... π₯π₯π₯

@rinconpoetico7 has written so much that Hive warned her to chill out a little (she was taking away some of the other authors' shine, you see). Jokes aside, there are few Scribes out there matching her output, and there are even fewer Scholars out there as engaging.
Rincon (yeah, that's what I call her, we're cool like that) has been with us for a very long time. Even though English is not her first language, she manages to get her points across in a very poignant and refreshing way. Stories with merit and integrity. Let's take a look at a couple, shall we?
The mirror and the devil or as I like to call it, El espejo y diablo, is a very relatable tale about something many of us struggle with every day. It highlights @rinconpoetico7's strength of making her stories super approachable. Themes that are commonplace, but told in a way that makes you sympathize with the characters on the page. Normal struggles told in abnormal ways.
She also has a taste for the gruesome. A Creative after my own heart. And her way of bridging the supernatural with everyday life is something truly special. I just love how you never know her twists and turns. Keeps you guessing. That, my friends, is a sign of good writing. Intentional and purposeful. Isn't that the same thing? Shut up.
Susana was a very beautiful girl, she loved to look at herself in the mirror all day. She loved her curvy figure like a beautiful guitar that many wanted to play. Susana loved to provoke men, it was a feeling that fed her ego and made her feel like a goddess.
And now for something totally different. Yuriko shows off the lady's range as it tells a story from a time and place wholly different from our first example. What is magical is her success at taking the reader to a specific place, with language matching her intent. It is clear she has done her research on the topic. That adds texture to the piece. And proves her merit as an amazing writer.
The petals of the cherry blossoms fell as the noble samurai walked solemnly through the passage, gazing at the orange horizon. The steps guided him to the elegant cedar bench, with soft lines and curves that matched the beautiful skin of the beloved, as white as the sakura. Yuriko would rise inviting the warrior to take her in his strong arms.
@rinconpoetico7 is one of our most active members and just a gem of a human being. Positive and constructive. Her activity is a breath of fresh, or rather, a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day. I wish her all the success and wish her nothing but the best. Here's to many more spotlights! π»
Sorry for the beer, I can't drink coffee. π
