First experience working as musicians in a hotel

Hello friends! I want to tell you about our first experience of playing in a hotel, maybe some musicians will be interested in how it works.

How it all began

I used to play music in the street as usual. At some point, a man came up to me and threw something white into my box. When I finished playing, I found a business card there that said "Emre Kiris, Hotel Manager". I thought it was not casual and called this person back. He was surprised that I called him)

I was offered to come and talk about work. I also said that my wife plays the bandura. We went together.

It turned out to be a luxurious hotel called AquaHouse, which can accommodate more than a thousand people.

The hotel management listened to how we played, they liked it. We were offered a contract. This means that we can receive a salary and free food. This is the dream of any musician because you get decent money, play two hours a day and have time to develop.

The business was almost in hand! But later it turned out that one of the directors (there are six of them) signed an agreement with other musicians. Of course, I was very upset, but that's life.

What next?

But soon they called me. I was offered to play at the opening of the hotel, and my wife four days after the opening.

At the opening, I broke all records. I greeted guests with my music. Since there were many guests, I had to play for seven hours!!! Usually, you can't do that, because, after the third hour of playing music, your brain usually melts. But I was wondering if I could do it)

My break)

After my performance, my wife was asked to play for the next 4 days.

Wow I hope you can get regular work there👍

How cool hotel @gulia.peito 👌
I am happy for you two, it's really a nice step.

Btw, how are you doing? Is everything ok in Bulgaria with you, despite the war in Ukraine?

Sorry for the late response to this post...

Seven hours....?!?!?! Respect! It's hard for me to imagine doing ANYTHING for seven hours straight, even sleeping, let alone such an engaging activity as performing music. Wow. Also congrats on getting the job. You did get the contract signed, right?

heh, thanks)
no, we have not contract, because confusing. This hotel have six directors, and all directors like us, but one director sign contract with other musicians and say it in last moment. I upset a little, but all is life. Now try to make programm and do concerts.
