Sloth at work buzzing at home

Hello all slothbuzzers, just a quick update what happened the last few days.

On Monday I was back to work after almost three weeks and during our coffee break was greeted by this beautiful sunrise. A lot had happened while I was gone. Among other things did we get a new forklift for unloading the trucks and guess what: New stuff is not always better. The controls cannot keep up with us or rather the way we are used to operate the unloading forklift. For a lot of stuff we have to push two buttons in combination. And now we have to wait one second to push the second button. Sounds weird, let me explain.

There is a joystick. Moving the joystick moves the fork. But if we want to modify it (extend the fork or make it more narrow/wide or move it sideways) we first have to press a "modifier button" with the thumb and then the "action button" with index finger. All on the joystick. Now we have to wait one second for the thumb button to register. Who programmed that damn thing?

Our supervisor is aware of the issue but there is nothing they can do. Oh well, got to let my inner sloth out a little bit, pressing that damn button with a (relatively) long pause afterwards.

After work I went kite flying with my son. We had a strong wind coming in from north-east. After we assembled the kite, we tried it out first in our front yard. After I worked out a few kinks to get it stable in the air I let my son hold it for a few seconds. But even though I fixed the line so it would not extend he somehow managed to do so anyway and It went up 8 or 9 meters at least. Did not take long for the kite to find our chimney. I had to cut the line and hope for it to come down without taking down any roof tiles with it. We were lucky enough and after I fixed the line again we went behind the dykes. There are no trees or houses. I fixated the line a little better this time and we had a lot of fun without worrying about any roof tiles.

Last week we finally installed the roof to the little shed we (my son and I) were building for his tractor and its attachments. We put in the ground plate last fall and I had a few wooden slides left over from work I was allowed to take home so we put them in as a roof back then. Of course they did not make it through the winter without any coating so we had to put something else on top. My wife re arranged the vegetable garden a few weeks ago. During that process the old planting bed for the tomatoes was relocated to a place where they don't need an extra roof anymore. So we were allowed to reuse those plates. And on the plus side there is a lot more light in the "little shed".

Those were the highlights of the last few days. More sloth at work while more fun and getting things done at home. Isn't life beautiful that way?

This really sounds like an instruction manual named "The Impatient Woman's Guide to Men. All Men. Everywhere."

Dude, I love that shed for your son's tractor. That is absolutely epic!

!LOL
I'll take it as a compliment 😄

Thank you very much.

I used to be addicted to soap.
But I'm clean now.
