A DAY IN MY LIFE.

Today I'll be writing about a day in my life (My work life precisely). My work is not a stressful one, at times I don't do anything from morning when I get to work till closing hour, but this day I was very very busy.

It was on a Wednesday, every Wednesdays in my school (where I work) there's always a sport activity or games activities for the pupils after the morning assembly. The nursery section we will be divided from the primary section to ensure a safe sporting activity sometimes the primary and the nursery merges together, in times like this it will be a very simple game or easy sports activity that we will be done, while most times the pupils are paired in different groups for their games/sports (according to what each pupil choose to do).

We have 6 teaching staff and 3 non-teaching staff (it's a Small School). During sport, all the teachers are shared into different groups to supervise the children but on this particular Wednesday the Head Mistress (HM) wasn't on seats and the teachers refused arranging and supervising the pupils for sports. I was on an errand by the headmistress so I was late that morning, when I got to school it was passed 9:00am the children were already at the playground but there was no teacher to guide them. I went to the classrooms to ask the teachers why nobody was with the children they all gave same reason "that they were filling broadsheets and report booklets" (It was towards the end of the term). I decided to ignore the children and the teachers because if the HM was to be in school they would have done the right thing so I left to my office. I couldn't ignore the children for long because the Cries from the playground was much and consistent so I had to go check on them.

I arranged the pupils together (both nursery and primary) then I appointed two pupils from the upper class to control them (because I also had work to do in the office). I gave instructions to the rest of the children then I went away, the school was suddenly calm and I could concentrate. not long afterwards the HM came in and commended the teachers for taking care of the school not knowing that they weren't the ones who did the controling. Few minutes afterwards, I don't know if it's out of guilt or whatever the teachers came to thank me for controlling the pupils and told me not to tell the HM (because they will be queried), I just laughed and told them that I wouldn't have told the HM so they shouldn't bother.

Immediately they left, the HM told me to deliver the salary voucher to the proprietor at his house so I left immediately, on reaching my proprietors house I was told that he was in the bathroom, so I had to wait for like 30 minutes before he came out. Normally my boss would have made transfer with his phone or he would have just written a cheque to his bank manager for the payments but it's was a different case. He said there were person certain things he had to do with his account before he will be able to do transfer and it will take six days to be completed.

He asked if I was with my NIN so I could get the money from the counter, I answered 'no' but it was in my email. I was considering the long wait before he rectifies the issue with his bank, I remembered that everyone had planned to use their salary early and I also wanted to travel (actually it wasn't in my mail). After collecting the cheque I had to go back to my house to get the NIN (A sacrifice on my part, t-fare was high because of the high cost of fuel) before going to the bank for the money. When I got to the bank the queue was long and I had to wait for my turn. Getting to my turn, the queue scattered and the lady at the counter knowing fully well that I was next, didn't just ignore me but attended to three people that came after me. I had to speak up before she collected my cheque, she looked at it and said "I'm very sorry, you can't be paid above #100,000 as a third party". (My boss had increased the money in the salary voucher because he wanted to pay his laborers for the house he was building)...

I almost cried after the long queue and the wait, anyways I had to go back to my boss's house on my way there, it started raining (another round of waiting). Luckily the rain stopped after 35 minutes, I got the cheque corrected (written in 2 slips), went back to the bank to meet another round of delay. The network was slow and the queue was long.

Well, I got the money, delivered some to my boss then I went home. I was very hungry, tired and stressed but unfortunately I had to cook as my mom wasn't strong enough to do it. I finished cooking by 8:00pm, took my bath and went straight to bed without even locking the doors.
I WAS INDEED STRESSED SO I CONCLUDED THAT IT WAS FOR THOSE DAYS I DIDN'T HAVE ANYTHING DOING WHEN I'M AT THE OFFICE.

Thanks for stopping by.💙💙

Yes, the next day I was very free.
