in #hive-163772last year

Greetings to everyone on this great platform, I hope you are all well and I wish you a Tuesday filled with many blessings.

On my second tour I visited the Basilica of St. Nicholas (Basiliek Van de Heilige Nicolaas).

Today is my day off from work and I did several tours in the streets of Amsterdam to show you little by little.
I visited the Basilica of St. Nicholas for this tour I went walking as it is quite close to home, there are several times I had entered here but this time focused on the details to photograph every corner of the church.

St. Nicholas Basilica is located in the center of Amsterdam and is near the train station, St. Nicholas is considered in Holland the patron saint for the church and for the city of Amsterdam being the first Roman church in the city.
Inside is dark but when you get used to go often you can see beautiful creations such as decorations, stained glass, sculptures and murals, it is impressive beauty and not to mention the highest side inside is a work of art.

This church was created in the nineteenth century at a time when Roman Catholics could return to profess their faith in public after three centuries of prohibition is noteworthy that the architecture and furnishings proudly proclaim it and this has been the first oldest building in Amsterdam.
This church has a special place in the Roman Catholics of Amsterdam.

This Basilica is a majestic building with two towers.

Both in the silver that has the front and the building area everything is a spectacle and at night you can see bright with the effect of the lights, to visit Amsterdam is essential to make tours of the Basilica. From the street you can appreciate how majestic it is but once inside you can see all the amazing details that make up this architectural work.

The Basilica of St. Nicholas, is one of the monuments that for its facade, boasts of being one of the most photographed monuments of Amsterdam, and if you visit you will find a spectacular art and very characteristic of the idiosyncrasies of the locals.

On the outside, it is well known and there is little to add, but I was pleasantly surprised to know inside, gave me a taste of how the internal architecture of the place, reflects well the idiosyncrasies of the people of the Netherlands, but why? well, it is true that it is a Catholic church and therefore respects the Roman cult, but is adapted to the particular form of the personality of the Dutch, lights, bright colors, free of heavy ornamentation. This vision contrasts with the already typical Spanish sample of Hermitages, where the churches are more like cloisters.

For me, this was the most impressive, and I could have stayed for hours contemplating its beautiful interior, without getting tired of the quality of everything inside.

Admission is free and it is well worth seeing. The interior is very beautiful. Attention with the schedules, because they are reduced, I loved doing this tour in this majestic work of art, every detail, every painting is impressive.
