Time With The Plumbers.

Weekends are days in the week people look forward to mostly because they get to rest from work, enjoy some family, and me-time or go on a picnic. I mean people have these days in mind for their agenda. Unlike most weekends, I spend this one working on completing some plumbing job I got myself involved in as a labourer. For those who are wondering, for sure I am working as almost a plumber apprentice today. A carpenter turned plumber but you know it is good for the culture. I decided to go with them because I have nothing to do and the is a chance to learn extra bulk so why say no?

We spent a day cutting walls and chiselling the walls to make way for the various pipes to the outlets. More hands were needed so I was not spared from chiselling. At some point, I had to cut the wall using the cutting machine and chisel out parts as everyone was busy with something.

Chiselling is not a very fun thing to do for me nevertheless I had to do it anyways. As time flew by I could sense my hands were giving up on me because that part of my brain was telling me I am tired. There was a blackout and frustration began to set in because now we have to chisel manually without the assistance of the cutting machine. We got done with the chiselling and then realized it wants not a blackout but the credit on the prepaid meter was exhausted and needed recharge.

Some aspects of the job are fun because I have to do is to pull out pipes make a fire, turn the heater on for pipe joining, measure and just join but the stress from the previous day had taken hold of me regardless we will do it anyway.

So we began fitting the pipes to their respective places, running water through them to make sure there is no blockage as well as a free flow. Most of what you see on the outside will be lost to sight in a couple of days because there will be massive filling on the ground.

Mixing mortar and filling in the holes we drilled was also essential.

Work is done and we were all satisfied with what we had accomplished. The client is happy so that makes us happy too. Along the way, I had seen some tools I had wanted to but one blew up in my face while we were testing it and the other one was low on battery so I couldn't test it and had to leave.

Reaching home, I went to a Nigerian restaurant to grab myself eba and egusi soup to end the day and the rest of the day was spent relaxing and taking care of some other business.

Have fun.

Noted. Thank you for the alert

Although it was tiring, they are some good experience for you, I must say :)

For sure, I know the basics and I love anything that adds to my knowledge
