Mejoras al Hub delantero . // Upgrades to the Front Hub .

Today we will make an improvement that is also an adaptation, since I will replace the front hub of 36 holes by one of 32H, to eliminate weight, and if only 4 spokes less but the horn or hub that I will mount is a high horn, range a shimano deore xt, a hub quite good, light and excellent when it comes to move.

El día de hoy haremos una mejora que también es una adaptación. ya que sustituiré el hub delantero de 36 huecos por uno de 32H, para eliminar peso, y si solo son 4 rayos menos pero la bocina o hub que voy a montar es una bocina alta, gama una shimano deore xt, un hub bastante bueno, liviano y excelente a la hora de desplazar.

Start by removing the rim in order to work on removing the disc and loosening all the spokes, let's say this is the slowest process.

Comenzar por sacar llanta para poder trabajar en quitar el disco y aflojar todos los rayos, digamos que este es el proceso mas lento.

Once it is out, it is time to remove the disc to avoid hitting it or dirtying it with grease or dirt as this may damage the pads.

Una vez fuera es momento de sacar el disco para no golpearlo o ensuciarlo con grasa o sucio ya que esto puede perjudicar las pastillas.

After releasing all the spokes it is time to clean them and prepare them for reassembly, one thing I want to add is that I should have mounted new spokes to avoid having problems with the nipples, which of course I had since some were damaged, but this is an adoption that I will try since I will install a 32H block on a 36 rim, the rim has 4 spokes more than the block, so taking that into account it is time to continue now with the assembly, which is different from the traditional way to rim a rim.

Luego de haber soltado todos los rayos es momento de limpiarlos y prepararlos para volverlos a montar, una cosa que quiero agregar es que debi haber montado rayos nuevos para evitar tener problemas con los niples, que claro que tuve ya que algunos se dañaron, pero esto es una adopción que voy a probar ya que instalare una manzana de 32H en una llanta de 36 el aro tiene 4 rayos mas que la manzana, así que teniendo eso en cuenta es momento de seguir ahora con el armado, que es diferente a la manera tradicional de enrayar una llanta.

We put the rays on the block in the same way as we would normally do leaving a free space between each ray to assemble the first row.

Ponemos los rayos en la manzana del mismo modo que se haria normalmente dejando un hueco libre entre cada rayo para montar la primera fila.

We mount the first ray and then we will do the following always leave 3 spaces after the first ray, but as this is an adaptation we have to leave after the first ray 3 holes and then 4 then 3 again then back with 4 to finish again leaving 3 holes.

Montamos el primer rayo y luego haremos lo siguiente siempre se dejan 3 espacios luego del primer rayo, pero como esta es una adapcion tenemos que dejar luego del primer rayo 3 agujeros y luego 4 luego 3 de nuevo luego volvemos con 4 para terminar nuevamente dejando 3 agujeros.

The first beam of the second row must be placed in the first crossing where there is a face of 3 holes and after this we put the following ones taking the length of the beam as a guide, until the second row has been completed.

Algo complejo ya que siempre se dejan 3 agujeros pero bueno, ahora luego de montar la primera cara de rayos viene la segunda la cual es mas sencilla, el primer rayo de la segunda fila debe ir puesto en el primer cruce donde haya una cara de 3 agujeros ya luego de esto vamos poniendo los siguientes tomando el largo del rayo como guia, hasta haber culmiando la segunda fila.

Now to continue with the first row of the second face we have to introduce the radii following the previous crossing in the following way.

Ahora para continuar con la primera fila de la segunda cara tenemos que introducir los radios guiándonos por el cruce anterior de la siguiente manera.

Luego de esto es el mismo proceso que siempre seguimos y cuando tengamos todo listo nos deben quedar 4 agujeros libres en la llanta, estos deben tener forma de cruz, de esta forma sabremos que el trabajo esta bien echo.

Now the difference is very difficult to appreciate unless you are a little knowledgeable on the subject because they are 4 more rays that are not much, or seems to be no big deal but where if the thing is complicated something is at the time of balancing.

Ahora bien la diferencia es muy difícil de apreciar a menos que seas un poco conocedor del tema por que son 4 rayos mas que no son gran cosa, o parece no ser gran cosa pero donde si se complicara algo la cosa es en el momento del balanceo.

To balance it we now have to adjust the group of 8 spokes that we have left, since every 8 spokes will open an empty space, and we have to compensate that space with a little more tightening.

Para balancearlo tenemos que ahora ajustar los grupo de 8 rayos que nos quedo, ya que cada 8 rayos abra un espacio vacío, y tenemos que compensar ese espacio con un poco mas de apriete.

I must say that this took me a while but it was balanced to perfection, the lack of those 4 spokes in this hoop is noticeable because the way to correct the vertical or oval roll is much more complex.

Debo decir que esto me llevo un tiempo pero quedo balanceado a la perfección, la falta de esos 4 rayos en este aro si se hacen notar ya que la forma de corregir el balanceo vertical o ovalado es mucho mas complejo.

To close with a flourish, I washed everything again to grease it and leave everything 0 kilometers.

Para cerrar con broche de oro lave todo nuevamente para engrasarlo y dejar todo 0 kilómetros.

Now I could not miss the gesture of approval from my wife since it is really the first adaptation that I do, it was 10/10.

Ahora no podía faltar el gesto de aprobación de mi esposa ya que de verdad para ser la primera adopción que hago quedo de 10/10

However, the state of my bike leaves much to be desired since it has been raining and I have been training at full capacity to not lose continuity.

Eso si el estado de mi bicicleta deja mucho que desear ya que ha estado lloviendo y he estado entrenando a full para no perder la continuidad.

This was all for now it only remains to return to the circuit to test the integrity of the grating and see how it behaves with 4 spokes less hopefully the work remains the same and not lose the balance, clearly I tested the bike already on the road but I have not abused it as I usually do on the circuit.

Esto fue todo por ahora queda solamente volver al circuito para probar la integridad del enrayado y ver que tal se comporta con 4 rayos menos esperemos que el trabajo se mantenga igual y no pierda el balanceo, claramente probé la bicicleta ya en carretera pero no he abusado de ella como suelo hacer en el circuito.
