This week has been a very long one. I had loads of school tests done. It was a tiring week.
Having a tiring week is hard. It's even harder when you try to balance writing your studies. I did do a lot of studying this week. As much as I like to write, I don't want to sacrifice my grades either.
I was extremely tired, preoccupied and well, let's just say I wasn't myself this week. However, in reality, I didn't realize how stressed I actually was until two days ago when I was taken out of the classroom during math class because I had to take a written test.
A child who works hard, should have a time of fun "the saying goes"
After a long and stressful week, myself and my roommate decided to enjoy our weekend before another Monday comes. So we went to the market to get some foodstuffs to prepare a weekend delicacy.
I took some pictures at the market. The market is located in the center of Agbowo, just directly opposite of the University gate.
The market was full of people. I felt that everyone at the market are buying to store at home because the price of thing are likely to go higher, especially in period of the year.
We were low on time and there are crowded stores, obnoxiously music, and other people who are being annoying (though I can't really blame them). As a sidenote, it was also a day when political parties rally around the street to campaign for elections, so there were even more people around.
We got some foodstuffs (Fresh pepper- Tomatoes and rodo, vegetables, fishes, onions, and lot more) we needed but couldn't find some. But we didn't give up; we needed palm oil.
Having been in this situation before, I knew my only chance was to not give up. To resist! With my inner mantra "don't give up" in place, I remembered that there was still one point in the market we could check.
We went there and fortunately, we found what we've been looking for. We bought the Palm oil and went home.
It's good to have a roommate that cooks well. Thanks to him, he did his magic and in less than 2 hours the food was done. He made Poundo Yam with Ewedu soup. So delicious! We ate like there was no tomorrow.
