Many if not everyone knows about the Honey Bees but maybe only a few have seen it because it is mainly seen in rural areas. So today I will like to discuss about the Honey Bees, it health and environmental benefits, or will I say; it importance to humans.
First what is Honey Bee?
Understanding what Honey Bee is will help us in knowing how important it is.
Honey Bee is a specie of insect which is scientifically known as "Apis Mellifere". They plays a major role when it comes to pollination and the production of Honey.
Now that we have know what the Honey Bee is let us go over to the importance starting from the health benefits.
Honey bees produces "Honeycomb" which when process produces a natural sweet substance from the nectar of flowers which is known as "Honey".
Honey is mainly compose of carbohydrates, primarily fructose. It also contain glucose which gives it sweet tastes. It contains small amount of vitamin C and B, amino and minerals.
Honey which is gotten from the honeycomb produces by Honey bess has for centuries been used for medicine purposes, because it contain medicinal properties and has a lot of benefits.
Health Benefits of Honey
Honey which is gotten from the honeycomb when processed can serve as food both to humans and animals.
Honey can help soothe a sore throat. It can help boost the immune system.
Honey can also provide relief from coughs and colds.
Honey has a lot of health benefits. It can be used for wound treatment because of the anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties it contain.
I remembered one time have had serious wound and was taken to a pharmacy. Honey was apply in my wound treatment.

Now let us talk about the environmental benefits of honey bees. Around the world there are thousands of insects which helps in pollination. Over 200,000 species of animals are said to be involved in pollinating our plants and crops, and in all Honey Bees stands to be the master pollinator.
Honey Bees are important pollinators which pollinate a wide variety of plants, including many crops and wide flowers.
Honey Bees carries pollen from the male parts of the flower to the female parts which enables fertilization and the production of fruits, seeds and new plants.
This pollination helps in reproduction and genetic diversity of many plants species, fruits and vegetables.
So bees in general are very important to the world. Some plants can produce a new generation thanks to bees for pollinating them.
